Kzarka, Barrier of Infestation

Introduction

Elvia, Kzarka, and the Barrier of Infestation provides 1 AP + 1 DP for defeating bosses!
  • This quest line is no longer time gated content and can be completed right away
  • Defeating each Kzarka summon is a short task, with a maximum time limit of 7 minutes
  • The questline to unlock the boss summoning scrolls is relatively short and takes place in Elvia
  • Each Kzarka boss will increase in difficulty and the time limit will gradually decrease.

Starting the Quest Line

Before being able to summon and fight Kzarka for the AP and DP rewards, there's a short quest line that will take you around Elvia.

You will need to be at least Level 61 to begin the quest line and 260 AP / 320 DP is recommended.

The questline must be done on an Elvia realm otherwise the quests will not appear.

A little more AP / DP will help with ease of completion, otherwise make sure to bring food and elixir buffs to help out.

To start the quest line, you can open the quest window (O) and head to the 'Suggested' tab.

The quest line is thankfully rather short and only really consists of talking to a few NPCs and doing a bit of grinding.

You can accept the first quest from the Black Spirit in the 'Suggested' tab, look for the quest called [Elvia] Obsidian Ashes.

After a bit of running around and talking, you'll eventually be led to Glish to speak to NPC Lejenti who will act as the quest giver for the weekly Kzarka bosses.

When speaking to Lejenti she'll give you two quests, be sure to take both at the same time.

The young spirit quest is just talking to a weapon buff dropped in the Elvia grind locations, they're called Young Ancient Spirits.

If you've never grinded on an Elvia sever before, here's what to look for:

The other quest line will have you visiting the various grind spots of Elvia Serendia in order to obtain knowledge.

You'll need to obtain trash loot from the different grind locations, which is obviously a good way to run into a Young Ancient Spirit weapon buff.

You'll need to gain 100 Trash loot from each location across Elvia Serendia, this can also be done in a party, as long as you're receiving loot.

After this, you'll head back to Lejenti and do a few talking quests. After that, you'll eventually start the

[Elvia] The Fate of Glish quest.

This quest will have you speak to Glish NPCs for 9 puzzle pieces and will require 270 energy in total

You can also use alts or tagged characters to receive the puzzle pieces, they can be stored in the Glish storage, too.

Here's the list of NPCs you will need to talk to in Glish:

  • Cheremio - Dispatched Investigator from Heidel
  • Ceasar - Skill Instructor
  • Urahr - Seed Vendor
  • Freharau - Alchemist
  • Kanna - Material Vendor
  • Seilane - General Goods Vendor
  • Amaranto - Arms Dealer
  • Frenil - Storage Keeper
  • Allan - Stable Keeper

This will take you in a loop around Glish, essentially speaking to the majority of the NPCs and ending at Allan, the Stable Keeper.

When you have all 9 puzzle pieces, turn off Auto Arrange in your inventory and form the puzzle like so:

Once you've formed the puzzle, head back to Lejenti for a few more quests, eventually you'll be given a Deprived Kzarka Summon Scroll.

After summoning Kzarka, a time limit will be displayed on screen. Kzarka has a number of attacks similar to the world boss version.

One of the attacks will give you a notification that Kzarka emits an overbearing aura and will begin pulling you in.

This usually leads to a one shot and like with other Kzarka attacks, you can hide behind the pillars around the room to remain safe.

You can 'V' out of the pull if you're having trouble or are lacking cooldowns. If you don't defeat Kzarka, you can forfeit the quest to get a new summon scroll from Lejenti

Once you've defeated Kzarka, you'll now unlock the weekly quests and will be able to defeat Kzarka weekly to unlock rewards.

The first Kzarka will give you the +1 DP while the 3rd and final Kzarka will provide the +1 AP. As previously mentioned the boss will scale in difficulty and reduce in time limit!
