The Infinite MP Potion

Introduction

The Odore's Spirit Essence is a grindable treasure that acts as an infinite MP potion!

• Grinding for the potion provides a unique goal outside of standard gear upgrade progression.
• The potion can be used with a Fairy's auto potion use for infinite automated potion use
• Odore's Spirit Essence is made up of 3 grinded pieces and 2 crafted pieces which are combined.
• The grinded pieces can be a one time drop or obtained through a pity system.

 

The Infinite Potions can now also be stored in the Family Inventory making them alt friendly!

 

Obtaining the Infinite MP Potion 

Odore's Spirit Essence - The Infinite MP potion is an everlasting potion that restores the same values an Instant MP Potion (Extra Large).

Generally, grinding for treasure items in Black Desert is considered a long term goal. The individual potion piece drops are called "Ancient" pieces. The pieces can also be obtained through crafting using more common, consistent drops.

This is referred to as a Pity system, with the exchangable items referred to as Pity pieces.  

Both will drop from the necessary grinding spots, so there will always be an RNG chance to skip grinding all of the pity pieces but the pity pieces allow for more consistent progress. Afaru also has a chance to drop the potion items.

 

Items Required

In order to create the Infinite MP potion, five items are needed in total. Three items are potion pieces that must be grinded for. 

 

Valtarra's Clairvoyance - Obtained from tanning in Narvarn Steppe but only from certain mobs. 

Markthanan's Gland - Obtained from grinding Tshira Ruins.

Narc's Crimson Tear - Obtained from grinding Manshaum Forest.

 

After all three pieces have been obtained, show them to NPC Merindora in Grana then you are able to gather the remaining two items from the following NPCs. 

 

Night Crow's Dawn Stone -  Exchange Dragon Scale Fossil x100 at Forboding Altar (Garmoth's Nest node manager) to obtain the item. 

 

Krogdalo's Protection Stone -  Exchange Rumbling Earth Shard x100 at Krogdalo's Trace (Krogdalo's Trace node manager) to obtain the item.

 

When all five items are obtained, they can be arranged in your Yaz's pouch inventory as a '+' shape. This way you can combine all of the items at once to form the potion.

 

 

However there is an alternate method that allows you to create smaller infinite potions that scale up with every grinded piece you obtain, which may be more beneficial. 

 

Pity Pieces

As mentioned, while grinding for potion pieces, pity pieces will drop at a fairly consistent rate as a way to allow constant progress in obtaining the potion pieces.

 

Once you obtain 100 Pity pieces, they can be taken to NPC Merindora in Grana. She will award you with an item which you can combine with your 100 Pity pieces to create a potion piece.

If you have already obtained some, but not all, of the potion pieces before the Pity system was added, they will have been changed to "Ancient" pieces. Ancient pieces can be taken to NPC Merindora in Grana and use the “Exchange” option below:

 

 

Infinite MP Potion NPC locations 

Below is the location of NPC Merindora, you can speak to her to convert ancient pieces like mentioned above. You must also show her all 3 potion pieces before you are able to exchange items for the Night Crow's Dawn Stone and the Krogdalo's Protection Stone.

 

Speak to NPC Merindora and complete the quest Odore's Spirit Essence while here, this will later allow you to hand in your Rumbling Earth Shards

 

After showing NPC Merindora all three potion pieces, you can visit Forboding Altar (Garmoth's Nest node manager) at the location below and exchange Dragon Scale Fossil x100 to obtain Night Crow's Dawn Stone

 

 

Finally is Krogdalo's Trace (Krogdalo's Trace node manager), who can exchange Rumbling Earth Shard x100 for Krogdalo's Protection Stone.

 

 

Valtarra's Clairvoyance Potion Piece 

Valtarra's Clairvoyance - can be obtained from Narvarn Steppe. It can either be gained through the pity pieces as mentioned or as an "Ancient" item drop. 

 

You can now grind for Atanis' Elements to obtain this through grinding, see the Atanis Element section.

Grinding for Valtarra's Clairvoyance is unique in that it can also be obtained by tanning, using the gathering life skill. This will require you to have a tanning knife equipped. They can be obtained from the Central Marketplace for convienience. 

 

The Potion piece is dropped by the following mobs: 

 

• Belladonna Elephant

• Baby Belladonna Elephant

• Ferrina

• Ferrica

 

This requires you killing mobs, then using tanning on them. Your Life Skill Mastery no longer effects the drop rate for this but the Gathering Item Drop Rate from life skill tools is still applied.

 

The potion piece will also drop from grinding, its obtained by defeating Ferrica and Ferrina mobs. 

 

Energy Potion (Extra Large) - Because Gathering costs energy, it's a good idea to bring along some Energy potions, these large one's restore 50 energy with a 10 minute cooldown.

 

It's important to use Extra Large potions if possible because the 10 minute cooldown is shared with Energy Potions of a smaller type. The Energy Potion (Extra Large) can be obtained of the Central Marketplace. 

 

They can also be obtainted by exchanging Energy to NPC Alustin in Velia, which can also be done using your alt character's energy, if you'd like to make use of their energy as well.

 

 

If you still require more energy, there is a Cash Shop option available as well should you wish to use it. 

 

 Energy Tonic (L) - It's still best to use the large potion as again they share a cooldown with other Cash Shop Energy Tonic sizes. They do not share a Cooldown with the in game Energy Potion (Extra Large) or smaller potions, meaning you can get up to 100 energy every 10 minutes if you use both. 

 

The Energy Tonic (L) potions are 40 pearls each or 400 for 11 (meaning 1 free potion) and are available in the function section of the Cash Shop. 

 

Life Spirit Stone - Is an easy way to increase stats for gathering. This an Alchemy stone that can be activated by pressing the 'U' key after being equipped. You can easily get a Life Spirit Stone from the Central Marketplace. 

 

Markthanan's Gland Potion Piece

Markthanan's Gland - Can be obtained from grinding Tshira Ruins. Once again the item can drop as a one      time "Ancient" item or be gained through exchaning pity pieces.

 

Below is the location of Tshira Ruins: 

 

 

The potion pieces are dropped by the following mobs:

 

• Vine Keeper
• Leaf Keeper
• Grove Keepers

 

This area also drops Dragon Scale Fossil which are used an exchange item for one of the MP potion pieces. It also drops Garmoth's Scale(s) which are used an exchange item for one of the HP potion pieces. 

 

Narc's Crimson Tear Potion Piece

 Narc's Crimson Tear  - Can be obtained from grinding Manshaum Forest. As with the other pieces, you can obtain this through a single "Ancient" drop or be gained through pity piece exchange. 

 

Manshaum Forest can be found below: 

 

 

Manshaum Forest is just a standard grinding location with no mechanics to worry, about. There is also a Marni server for it so you can grind uninterupted.

 

The mobs known to drop the potion piece are the Manshaum Shamans & Manshaum Great Warrior, they also drop the Pity pieces. 

 

Pity Piece Weekly Quests

To help you make progress a little bit faster, there are weekly quests based around grinding the zones that usually drop potion pieces. 

 

The quests award 5 Pity pieces of the chosen type and reset every Thursday after midnight.
