Duskwing Dragon Mount

Introduction

Duskwing is a new guild mount that was announced previously at the BDO FESTA 2024 

• For a two week period adventurers can try out using the dragon Duskwing for free with a new event
• Duskwing has free flight, you can take off and fly around the world of Black Desert however you like
• Flying over certain areas like the ocean or flying too high will drain Duskwings HP faster than normal
• Eventually Duskwing will be added and will only be available as a Guild mount and pvp honor reward

 

Accessing the Duskwing Event

Duskwing is being made available for a two week event, usually these types of events aren't added to guides but this guide will be updated when Duskwing is added fully. 

 

 

Since this might be the only chance for many players to get the opportunity to try out Duskwing, don't miss out on the event period! The event doesn't require much effort before you unlock Duskwing. 

 

You can find the Duskwing Tamer over by Cron Castle near Velia, here's a picture of the location: 

 

 

Once you get over to Cron Castle, here's the NPC you'll need to look for, it's not hard to spot the Duskwing Tamer thanks to the dragons next to them. 

 

Then you'll just need to talk to your Black Spirit and look for the quest called "[Event] To the Skies, Duskwing!" all you'll need to do is talk to the NPC in order to grab your Duskwing mount.

 

Duskwing Controls

Move: W, S Instant Accel: SHIFT + W Turn: A, D while moving Ascend: E Descend: Q Dismount: SHIFT + R while idle * At excessively high altitudes, Duskwing may automatically descend. * There may be movement restrictions in certain content and regions..

How to use Duskwing

Duskwing is really easy to use, here are the different controls with examples of what they do as seen in the patch notes:

Skills	Controls	Description
	W / S [while moving] A / D	Move Turn
	W + Shift	Instant Accel
	E	Ascend
	Q	Descend

 

The patch notes mention that you should avoid calling in Duskwing when surrounded by terrain and objects as it might cause issues currently when Duskwing spawns in. 

 

Duskwing is pretty quick but you'll lose more of it's HP when you fly over things like water or at higher altitudes. When dismounting properly your character won't take damage.

 

You'll have to hover in order to properly dismount but you'll automatically dismount if Duskwing's HP gets too low. Duskwing cannot be used during Node/Conquest War and in certain content for obvious reasons.
