Land of the Morning Light Magnus

Introduction

  • The Land of the Morning Light takes place far off into the ocean, away from the mainland
  • After a short questline you can unlock a Magnus Well in order to fast travel to the new zone
  • There are 3 new Magnus puzzles that you will have to complete, listed in this guide.
  • For reference, the new content will be added in place of the old island Port Ratt.

To begin the questline you must have completed the Magnus: Abyss One, we have a guide here!

Starting the Quest

To start the questline you can speak to your Black Spirit (,) and navigate to the "Main Quest" tab.

You'll need to complete this questline in order to start the new Land of the Morning Light main questline.

You'll be asked to speak to Yeonhwa who's planning to travel back to her homeland by boat. You'll be able to autopath to her thanks to the quest as usual.

Yeonhwa is located in Velia by Wharf Manager Croix.

After some dialogue with Yeonhwa you'll be told that Wuju is looking for you and to head to the Magnus to meet him.

The closest nearby Magnus Well is just over at Bartali Farm, a short distance away from Velia.

Once you jump into the Magnus Well, Wuju will be waiting for you just up the stairs.

Wuju will have you go activate another Magnus vein, one which will let you travel to the Land of the Morning Light.

Memories of the Deep Sea

After starting up the Magnus, you'll be transported to a new puzzle to activate the Magnus vein. Head over to the golden light and the trial will begin.

The puzzle is simple, a series of 7 lights will appear in a random order and you must deliver the orbs in the same order that the lights flashed in.

If you're struggling to remember the order of the flashing lights, you can step back a little and take a screenshot.

Then just copy the screenshot into something like Paint or Photoshop and scribble down the order.

There's a decent time between each light flashing so you should be fine to do this, especially if you use two monitors.

Note: The order shown above is an example, not the solution to the puzzle as the lights are random.

Once you're done you can talk to the Black Cat in order to exit, the same as the other Magnus puzzle trials.

Unseen Shadow

The next trial is a timed quest, taking place in Aakman temple like a few of the other Magnus trials did.

When starting the trial you'll have to interact with an object by the stairs of the ground floor, this will let you activate the time trial and reset it if you fail.

To start the time trial, just talk to it and spam R, you will also have to interact with more devices like this but its fairly easy.

Once you've activated the device, sprint up the nearby stairs. Keep an eye out for the first Unknown Device you come across as it will let you skip most of the stairs.

Using the device will summon a platform for you, the platform will rise and fail in height, letting you skip a lot of the distance.

After taking this specific elevator platform, you'll just need to head up one set of stairs and activate the first platform you come across.

Again it will be next to a gate type door, similar to the one we've just activated.

After that, this second elevator should take you up to the top of the temple, where you'll be able to talk to the Unknown Device to complete the time trial.

Netherworld Registry Institute

Next up is a quick one, all you really have to do is look around the room and find the correct objects.

Before looking around the room, speak to the Unknown Headmaster in order to start the challenge properly.

After speaking to the Unknown Headmaster, you'll be able to look around for the correct objects around the room.

First up, head to the east like in the image below and you will come across a vase.

The vase is tucked up neatly against the wall, so here's an angle of what to look for after you've moved east.

Interact with the Vase and you'll be given the chat option to look inside it, which will give you a key.

Once you've pulled out the key, return to the original room and move south, like in the image below:

Interact with the Antiquated Box using the key you found in the vase, this will let you unlock the box.

Once you've unlocked the box, you're all done. Just speak to the headmaster again and you'll be able to leave by using the Black Cat.

 Unlocking the Abyssal Vein

While nothing exceptional is needed in order to finally unlock the vein, when you get back to the Magnus you'll be told to look for Wuju at the belly of the Magnus.

Wuju isn't actually present as a quest giver, instead there will be an empty Abyssal Vein spot next to the Mountain of Eternal Winter.

Running over to the empty slot will actually trigger a cutscene where you will then meet up with Wuju and complete the quest line.

After that you will have unlocked the Land of the Morning Light Abyssal Vein and be able to fast travel there.
