Introduction
To help new players Journals have been changed so they feel less mandatory to complete for stats
- Previously journals all had different stats they provided, like AP, DP, Max Hp that made them mandatory
- The rewards have now been changed so that new players feel less pressured to have to complete them
- All stat rewards have now been centralized to Igor Bartali's Adventures making it much easier
- They've tried to add rewards to the other journals that still keep them relevant but optional
If you've completed the journals before you'll receive the new rewards in your Black Spirit's Safe (B)
Crow Merchants' Records - Rulupee's Travels
The rewards for Rulupee's Travels aren't too bad, they probably could've raised the Advice of Valks amount on this but I suppose that would risk it being mandatory content again.
This is actually quite a big change, there used to be a +1 All DP bonus locked behind a number of quest completions, now you'll just get a reward box instead, removing a pretty time consuming requirement.

Old Moon Logs - Herald's Journal
For the herald's journal, honestly without the promise of the +1 DP I can't see many people doing this journal anymore, the additional Valk's Cry is nice for new players who might not have them.
Even with those and the title, I'm not sure people will want to put up with the time trails even though they can be kinda fun for a different type of content.

Old Moon Logs - Pavino Greko's Collection
This trades out Max HP for some free extra dark rift rewards, honestly you might as well do at least the first volume now because they're essentially free.
The rest of the journal, especially the silver cost really isn't worth it even if they sort of give you half of the cost back, you're basically just giving away silver just to complete the book.

Shakatu Merchants' Archive - Deve's Encyclopedia
Deve's Encyclopedia now gives you a selection of house furniture instead of the +1 AP. I'm not sure if this will be enough for anyone to actually go through with completing it or not.
If you're looking to start decorating your house I suppose it's a good way to start for a new player, but compared to the AP it definitely isn't as inviting for how much work this journal is.

Shakatu Merchants' Archive - Dorin Morgrim's Secrets
This might be a good way for new players to get some extra Item Collection Increase Scrolls (Loot Scrolls) but it's probably pretty hard to justify the costs of this journal for just that.
It does have the long item drop rate buffs but I really don't think anyone will be doing the journal for just that alone. When you can grab Loot scrolls from other sources like time filled black stones.

We do also have a guide on grabbing some more loot scrolls if you're really need of them, these methods are probably a lot more cost efficient.
The Eyes of Adventure
This one is actually one I don't mind them making a lot less mandatory, the chest hunt is really time consuming and I'm not sure most people even enjoyed it.
It was quite fun to make a guide on but I think doing it without that purpose would've been pretty rough. The DP has been taken away and replaced with some decent LOML themed items like a pet and some Embers.

Storybook - Morning Bosses
This journal is actually a nice improvement honestly, I like that it provides some extra Embers towards crafting your gloves. That being said the Embers for the gloves are already super easy to get.
Still in this cause I don't think the trade off is too terrible, considering the bosses are decent to do at least once a week.

Igor Bartali's Adventures
They made Igor Bartali's log even more mandatory to complete but now it will be the goto adventure log to get all of your stats in one place.
Completing one journal to get all of your stats instead of having to go through each and every one of them definitely makes it much easier for new players.
