Pavino Greko's Collection

Introduction

Pavino Greko's Collection is a great, cheap way to increase your Max HP!
  • Pavino Greko's Collection gives +600 Max HP in total from all chapters of the journal
  • The first book can be completed quickly for +200 Max HP if you have the Dark Rifts available
  • It will cost silver to access Pavino Greko's Collection, you'll need 1.5 billion in total
  • The last chapter requires blue and yellow accessories, increasing the cost again.

Despite the silver investment required, gaining an extra +600 Max HP is a great permanent buff!

Starting Pavino Greko's Collection

Before starting Pavino Greko's Collection, you'll need to be at least Level 58.

Once you meet the level requirement you can complete the quest "[Adventure Log] Old Moon Logs" from your Black Spirit.

To view the journal open the Esc menu, click Adventure then look for Adventure Log Bookshelf.

In order to unlock Old Moon Logs Volumes 7-10 (Pavino Greko's Collection), you must accept individual quests via Pavino Greko.

If you've never been to Port Epheria, its along the West coast, right near the world boss Quint.

Pavino Greko is the Storage Keeper NPC of Port Epheria so you'll have no problems finding him once you get there.

You'll need 15 of the Gold Bar 1,000g bars in total for the quests. The first quest will cost 500m and the second will cost the other 1b.

Since Pavino Greko is the Storage Keeper NPC of Port Epheria you can always purchase the bars from him.

After speaking to Pavino Greko and giving the gold bars, you'll be able to access Book 1.

Book 3 Requirements

In order to unlock Book 3 of Pavino Greko's Collection, you'll be required to have completed Herald's Journal Book 3 and Igor Bartali's Adventure Log 6.

You can find a guide for Igor Bartali's Adventure Log here

Book 1 - Dark Rifts

In order to complete Book 1, all you need to do is defeat Dark Rift bosses. If you've already saved up a bunch, this probably won't take you long at all.

You can find Dark Rifts at the bottom right corner of your screen, and clicking the highlighted arrows will take you to the Dark Rift Boss's location on the map.

For Book 1 you can complete the chapters in any order, meaning there's no particular order you need to kill the bosses in.

To complete Book 1 you'll need to defeat the different bosses listed in the chapters as Dark Rift bosses.

Book 2 Chapter 1

Book 2 will have you running around the world of Black Desert to find invisible objects. The object you'll have to interact with is called "Trace of Pyresh."

After finding the interactable object, you'll have to solve a riddle. Just type the answer into the general chat.

Here's the first location, it's over in Calpheon castle and isn't difficult to find, here's a few images to help you find the Trace:

To make it easier, you can look for NPC Vitheons Belucci by the bell tower, once there head up the stairs highlighted on the image below:

Run all the way up the stairs to the top of the bell tower, one there, move to the west ledge, you can use the chest in the image below to help recognise which side to use.

Once you're at the ledge, drop down on to this platform and the Trace will be on the wall. Type the answer 1321 into general chat.

Book 2 Chapter 2

Next up you'll be heading near Florin, specifically up into the mountains, here's an image of the auto-path route which should help you get the right location.

Because auto-pathing can be a little inaccurate when pinpointing exact locations, here's what to look for when you get up on the mountain range.

You can use the minimap on the image above to help you locate the Trace on your own game. For this one, type the answer 6 in general chat.

Book 2 Chapter 3

For the third chapter, we'll have to head over to Marie Cave, right near Primal Giant Post close to Behr.

Once you're at the Marie Cave node manager Ribley, you can just head inside of the cave just ahead.

Head straight inside the cave and look along the left wall, you should find the Trace easy enough.

This time the answer is .+. just type it into general chat like the others.

Book 2 Chapter 4

Next up we move away from the Western side of the map, instead moving over into Mediah near Tarif and Altinova. Head to Splashing point.

You can see from the above image that the auto-path is set to a small island, this is where the Trace will be.

Again here's the minimap to help you find it because it can be a little tricky to locate on the island. For this chapter, the answer is 11.

Book 2 Chapter 5

Another one in Mediah, this time its Mediah Castle along the coast, this is actually one of the simplest ones, its just a matter of going to the end of the castle.

Once you're at the castle, you'll see that you can head upwards, just follow the path around until you come to the Trace

As usual just type the answer in general chat, this time the answer is 45

Book 2 Chapter 6

This one is slightly more annoying, but only because you have to path through the desert and as such can't use the auto-path feature. Other than that it's still easy enough.

First you want to head over to Sand Grain Bazaar and head up the cliffside as if you were going to the Desert Naga Cliff Rotation.

If you've never done that before, here's an image that shows how to get up the side of the cliff:

Make your way over to the Trace Location marked on the map image above, if you're struggling to find the cliff that it's on, you can use a Sealed Compass (120 min).

That will allow you to see your location on the minimap and make it easier to find your way over to the cliffside. Here's where the Trace is:

Once you arrive at the Trace, this time you'll need to type the answer 4198

Book 2 Chapter 7

Next up we're heading further east, over to Ibellab Oasis, like chapter 6 this will be easier with a Sealed Compass (120 min).

Once you head over to the oasis it can be a little tricky to locate the Trace just because its near the trees. You can use the mini-map to help find it.

Once you've found the Trace, the answer is 11. Just type it into general chat like all the others.

Book 2 Chapter 8

Next we'll be heading further east, if you have a Traveler's Map then you can teleport to Valencia City from the Ibellab Oasis to make the journey quicker.

You'll the need to make your way up to Roud Sulfur Mine from Valencia City for the next Trace location.

Here's a zoomed in version where you can see the auto-path location. The Trace is near the lake by the top of the mountain.

Once you enter the lake, head right then up the small hill, the Trace will be on one of the rocks over looking the lake. You can use the mini-map on the image below to help you locate it.

After you finding the Trace, this time the answer to type in general chat is 67.

Book 2 Chapter 9

Next is close by to Valencia City, annoyingly the Rakshan Observatory won't let you path to it, but if you click close by like the image below you'll be able to auto-path.

This one isn't hard to find or anything, just head to the Node Manager and enter the building besides them. The Trace is on the wall below.

The answer this time is 68, type it in the general chat tab to complete the chapter.

Book 2 Chapter 10

The last chapter will have you head even further east, over to the coastal town of Arehaza. It's basically a straight line east, so you should have no issue finding it.

Once you arrive in Arehaza, auto path over to the tower by the coast, that's the final Trace location.

Once you're over at the tower the Trace is by the door, you can use the minimap to help you find it if needed.

The final chat answer is 0

Book 3 Chapter 1

After completing Book 2, go back to Pavino Greko in Epheria to be able to begin Book 3. The first chapter will have you return to Calpheon Tower.

Like the last time we're going to need to head up the tower, run past Vitheons Belucci and head upstairs

This time instead of having to drop down, you'll need to take the ladders up and higher towards the top of the tower.

Just follow the path until you make it to the top of the tower, that's where you'll be able to interact with the first memory.

Book 3 Chapter 2

Next you'll need to head over to an npc named Artist, you'll have to talk to them in order to complete the chapter.

Here's a picture of the NPC you'll need to speak to, he'll have chat options related to the journal.

Book 3 Chapter 3

Next is a Ecology chapter, these ones really pad out the journals. You'll need to complete the Exploration I knowledge.

You can find it in the Knowledge (H) - Ecology - Academics - Exploration I.

This part of the journal is just running to more locations for "Exploration Points" in order to obtain knowledge.

Because some of locations take you through the desert, I'd strongly recommend using a Sealed Compass (120 min) in order to complete the knowledge.

Once you have all 26 topics completed, you'll be able to complete the chapter.

Book 3 Chapter 4

Next up is a time trial, NPC Rubin in Calpheon will have you run from him to Florin Stable Keeper Herar. If you're having trouble finding Rubin, just look for Morco

This is the path you'll need to take to reach Florin Stable Keeper Herar, you have to complete the journey in 2 minutes.

When you get to Florin Stable Keeper Herar, you can use a Traveler's Map to teleport back to Calpheon in order to save time.

Book 3 Chapter 5

For this chapter you just need to head over to the Northern Wheat Plantation and chat with NPC Norma Leight.

Book 4 - Accessory Turn In

Book 4 will have you turning in accessories to Heidel Jeweler Dora Fonti. This last book can be skipped as it will only provide an extra +100 Max HP.

In order to unlock Book 4 you'll need to return to Pavino Greko in order to take a quest for Book 4.

So if you don't feel like giving accessories to Dora Fonti, you can skip this section, but it's still a good way to permanently increase your total HP, so I'd recommend finishing the book.

In total you will be required to turn in the following: DUO Rainbow Coral Ring, DUO Tree spirit Belt, DUO: Ancient Weapon Core, DUO Ring of Cadry Guardian, DUO Orkinrad's Belt and TRI: Kagtum Submission Ring

Once you've finished the hand-ins you will have completed Pavino Greko's Collection!

What do you think, is the Max HP increase worth it, or have you not yet done Pavino Greko's Collection? Let us know!
