Introduction
Create free Craftable Cosmetic outfits that can be converted into cash shop costumes!
- The materials for crafting in game cosmetic outfits are super cheap and easy to obtain
- Craftable Outfits can be converted into pearl shop style costumes with a Tailoring Coupon
- The outfits can be used to create unique Magical Crystals if enhanced with a Tailoring Coupon
- The process of making your own crafted cosmetic outfit is quick and really simple to do
The cosmetic outfits will replace your armor unless they've been enhanced with a Tailoring Coupon.
It's important to note that the outfits can't be dyed unless they've been enhanced by a Tailoring Coupon, so the appearance can't be changed without it.
Using the Costume Mill
Different Costume Mills can craft different outfits, it's important to invest in the correct ones. Luckily, it's really easy to check in game what outfits a Costume Mill can craft.
Using Heidel as an example, you can locate the Crafting Mill by using the filters in the top right corner of the housing screen:
Then when you select the house used for the Costume Mill, you are able to check which outfits they craft as well as what materials they require.
You can also craft functional life skill clothing using the Costume Mill, but in this guide we'll be focusing on the cosmetic outfits.
Once you have the materials, you can click Manage Production to choose which outfit to craft, you'll need the materials in your storage in order to be used.
Costume Mills can be used in Heidel, Calpheon and Altinova and Grana, which have different crafting options available to them.
Obtaining the Outfits
The outfits are mostly obtained in the same ways, the most important aspect is obtaining the designs, by holding CTRL you're able to hover over the materials.
This allows you to see where the designs are obtained from. Most of the other materials for crafting are usually available from the Central Marketplace or easy to obtain.
From here you're able to see where to obtain the Design material, I'll show some examples of the outfits you can obtain and how to do them, here's some of the popular ones.
Ahon Kirus
This is generally considered the most popular craftable outfit, even classes that usually have short capes will have a long cape.
It's design requires you to steal from NPC Ahon Kirus in Tarif.
Make sure you're stood behind her otherwise the option to steal may not appear on the UI!
In order to craft the outfit, you'll need the Costume Mill in Altinova, and the materials will need to be in the storage there too.
Here's the materials you'll need to craft the Ahon Kirus:
Design: Ahon Kirus's Armor x1
Steel x80
Black Crystal x20
Silk x30
Black Stone Powder x100
The items are really easy to grab from the Central Marketplace, you should be able to gather them all pretty quick.
As mentioned, for these outfits you can use a Tailouring Coupon in order to make the outfits dyeable:
Thermian Casual
The Thermian Casual is crafted in Heidel, so you'll need at least a level 1 Costume Mill house there.
For the design, we'll need to goto NPC Ornella the arms dealer in Heidel. You'll need 500 amity with her to purchase the design.
You can also spam wave (F5) instead of playing the amity game if you'd like to but it'll burn through your energy pretty quickly.
One wave is 3 amity, so you'll need to spam it to reach 500 amity. Once you buy a design, it'll also decrease your amity with the NPC, meaning you'll have to hit 500 multiple times if you want the other designs they sell.
You can also try to farm the "Talk Freely" amity by entering the amity game then hitting esc and re-entering until you get the "Talk Freely" option. It gives a bit more than waving.
It also costs energy to do, so it's not free to do, but it's slightly less annoying to do than just wave spam.
You'll also need the following ingredients for crafting:
Cotton Fabric x1
Sunflower x20
Iron Ingot x1
Black Stone Powder x25
Most of these are easy to obtain straight from the Central Marketplace for really cheap prices, but you'll probably need to gather your own Sunflowers.
You can head to this location just outside of Calpheon in order to gather some, it doesn't take long to hit 20:
You can use barehanded to gather them too, so you don't need to bring a hoe with you to gather them:
Once you have all of the materials, make sure you store them in your storage for your workers to use.
Orwen's Travel Clothes
Orwen's Travel Clothes is an example of needing to steal in order to obtain to the designs for the clothing. For the design, you'll have to head to NPC Yaz in Heidel.
It'll cost energy to attempt to steal and you may not get the correct design for your class as its RNG, but you'll be able to keep trying.
A lot of the time you'll be able to get more than one of the designs, so you'll be able to grab some for your alts too if you'd like.
The materials are available on the Central Marketplace, you'll need the following:
Silk x30
Supreme Soft Hide x3
Supreme Tough Hide x2
Black Stone Powder x25
Jarette's Armor
Jarette's Armor is a little unique in the way it's crafted. In order to craft it you'll have to craft two items of clothing from the Costume Mill first to use as materials.
You can obtain the designs from stealing from NPC Carolin, you'll need the designs Craft Permit: Golden Armor with Patterns and Craft Permit: Finest Female Casual Clothes - Women.
You'll then need to craft Pattern-Engraved Golden Armor and Finest Casual Clothes for Women here are the materials:
Pattern-Engraved Golden Armor:
Craft Permit: Golden Armor with Patterns x1
Gold Ingot x10
Steel x10
Silk x10
Finest Casual Clothes for Women:
Craft Permit: Finest Female Casual Clothes - Women
Supreme Tough Hide x5
Once you've crafted these two items you'll need the design from NPC Ornella by purchasing it from her with 500 amity like mentioned above in the thermian section.
The items you'll need for Jarette's Armor are the following:
Pattern-Engraved Golden Armor x1
Finest Casual Clothes for Women x1
Brilliant Opals can be made from gathering Rough Opal from Mediah Shore near Kusha, seen below:
You'll have to mine for the Opal rocks, you'll need Apprentice 1 Gathering in order to mine the rocks using a pickaxe.
In order to craft the stones you'll have to use Heating (L) . First create Polished Opal with 5 Rough Opals. You can then use 10 Polished Opals to create 1 Brilliant Opal.
You'll then be able to craft the Jarette's Armor after the steps, this is one of the longest to craft, especially as you also have to gain amity for every Design.
Calpheon Noble Dress
Another one of the Amity style costumes is the Calpheon Noble Dress. You'll need to grab the design from the merchant NPC Merv in Calpheon City.
There isn't many items needed for the dress, you'll only need the following materials:
Design: Calpheon Noble Dress
Flax Fabric x30
Ruby x7
The items are easily available on the Central Marketplace and the Calpheon Noble Dress is one of the few craftable outfits that is usually available on the Central Marketplace to buy without crafting.
