Hardcore PvP Server

Introduction

The Hardcore PvP Server is a new game mode set in Valencia called the Battlefield of Blood and Sand!
  • The hardcore server takes place in the great Valencia desert and features PvEvP game play
  • Players can accumilate points by killing other players or by defeating monsters and completing quests
  • Points added from quests don't disappear even if your character dies, reducing the pressure of PvP
  • The current pre-season will last for around a month and then changes will be made to the game mode

Joining the Hardcore Server

In the Hardcore server, players can spend 2 hours a day in the Valencia Desert where they can earn Survival Points by taking down monsters or other adventurers and earn Quest Points by completing quests.

These points are exchanged into "Hardcore Honor," which can be exchanged for rewards on the live server through the Manage Currency UI.

Starting the Hardcore server is really easy, just like with the Season servers you can create an exclusive character to log into the Hardcore Server. Right now you only get one character slot.

You can find the Hardcore Server in the Server list, similiar to Season Servers:

When the pre-season was released only four classes were made available, Warrior, Ranger, Sorceress and Beserker:

You can pick from Succession and Awakening for the available classes and characters will start at Level 63 with 3000 Skill points so that you can max out your skills.

You'll obtain a gear box in your inventory that will act as your initial starting gear, and you'll be able ot see your remaining time on the left of the screen.

Your two hours start as soon as you login and remaining time continues to countdown even while you're logged out. However once you complete an offering you can't play for the rest of the day and will be logged out.

Playtime resets 23 hours after your last Hardcore server login, you can still play during Node/Conquest wars.

You'll also be able to see your current quest as well as the server rankings on the right hand side of the screen.

Hardcore PvP Server Gameplay

On the Hardcore server, defeat monsters to earn Survival Points and collect Junk loot. If you die, you'll lose 30% of your Survival Points.

You can sell your Junk loot to a sanctum NPC to exchange it into Hardcore Coin which can be used to purchase various items from the NPC shop.

These vendors will have general consumables and better gear for you to purchase by using your Hardcore Coins:

Completing quests on the Hardcore server will earn you Quest Points which don't disappear even if you die. By offering both Survival and Quest Points at a sanctum, you can earn Hardcore Honor based on your total points.

There's also a Wandering Merchant that appears at random times and locations on the Hardcore server to sell rare accessory items.

Survival Points

Completing various tasks on the Hardcore PvP server will earn you Survival points, here's a quick breakdown:

Survival Points

Defeat monsters to earn Survival Points, stronger monsters give you more points.

Kill other players to claim 10% of their Survival Points.

You will receive the following penalty if your Survival Points is at or above 3,000.

If you defeat an adventurer with less than 20% of your own points, a -30% penalty applies.

For Example: If you have 5,000 points and defeat someone with 1,000 or fewer, you'll lose 1,500 points,

this penalty will not apply in higher-level monster zones and boss spawn areas.

Survival Points are character-specific, so deleting/recreating a character resets your points.

Character deletion triggers a 3 min wait time.

Unoffered Survival Points are not counted towards the next day's Offering Points upon login.

However, they will remain in your total Survival Points.

For Example: If you earn 500 Survival Points on day 1 and exit, the next day's Offering Points reset to 0, while total Survival Points start at 500.

Quest Points

Quest points are exactly what they sound like, you'll obtain them for completing daily quests on the Hardcore server, the quests you need to complete are based on your Survival Points:

Quest Points

Complete quests on the Hardcore server to earn Quest Points, you'll get a good amount as a reward.

Quests can be done once daily and are assigned randomly based on your Survival Points:

Under 200 Survival Points - Defeat Ancient Weapons x100-150

200-1,499 Survival Points - Defeat Desert Naga/Fogan, Crescent Shrine monsters

You can forfeit these quests but cannot change their type.

Quest Points do not disappear upon death.

Quest Points do not reset even after the offering.

For Example If you complete a quest and earn 1,500 Quest Points, then disconnect, the next day you will start with 1,500 Offering Points available.

If you complete a quest after midnight the next day, you cannot start a new one for that day.

Hardcore PvP Server Additional Rules

There's also a few more rules to keep in mind when playing on the Hardcore PvP Server listed below:

Additional Hardcore PVP Server Rules

Rules for items:

  • Hardcore-exclusive gear is provided but cannot be repaired or enhanced.
  • Max Durability for gear is different compared to the normal server.

Rules for Deaths:

  • You lose 30% of your Survival Points. If you had 1,000 points, you would lose 300 upon character death.
  • Dying to fall damage or monster attacks applies the same penalty. Quest points aren't effected.
  • Equipped gear can lose Durability according to a set probability but Gear in your inventory are safe.

Rules for Reviving:

  • You'll spawn at one of four designated sanctums upon first logging in and/or revival.
  • Revivals are instant with no limits, you'll auto revive after 60 seconds if you don't manually revive.

Rules for ESC > Escape:

  • The ESC > Escape function is available if you get stuck in terrain or found yourself immobilized.
  • You'll be relocated to a safe area without monsters. You'll not be relocated to any of the sanctums.
  • The function's cooldown remains unchanged.

Hardcore PvP Server Ranking

As the server is heavily point based, you can view peoples rankings when playing on the Hardcore PvP server, these rankings will give players unique rewards when the season ends.

Survival Point Rankings

Survival Point rankings are tallied periodically. This excludes those with 100 points or fewer.

You can see the current rankings on the right side of the screen.

Rankings are based on individual characters.

The top 10 adventurers by total Survival Points are marked on the World Map.

* Total Survival Points Rankings

  • The total amount of accumulated Survival Points are tallied to determine Hardcore server rankings.
  • Server rankings are updated when you log out or make an offering.
  • Rankings for everyone will reset daily at midnight.
  • Titles and rewards based on rank will be given at the season's end.

Offering

You can convert Quest and Survival Points into Hardcore Honor through offerings. Completing an offering will make you automatically log out and you won't be able to play for the rest of the day.

You can offer up to 10,000 points (Survival + Quest) daily. Unoffered Survival Points are not counted towards the next day's Offering Points upon login but will remain in your total Survival Points.

Quest Points do not reset, even if not offered. If you complete a quest and earn 1,500 Quest Points but log out without offering, you'll still start the next day 1,500 Offering Points.

You can make an offering by the Mysterious Light (safe zone) or the randomly spawning "Light of Offering."

Offering sites will appear marked on the World Map (M). If you complete an Offering you'll randomly start at one of the four Pilgrim's Sanctums.

If you don't manage to or choose not to complete an Offering, then you'll start at the last location where you logged out, which may change whether you decide to complete an Offering or not.

The reward point currency earned from completing your Offering can be spent as Hardcore Honor in the manage currency UI as seen above.

Hardcore Server Challenges

Completing Challenges will give you special titles and title of the highest rank you've obtained will automatically be applied to your character. These titles can only be used on the Hardcore server.
