Free Inverted Heart of Garmoth!
One reward that wasn't part of the login rewards or the coupon codes is the free Inverted Heart of Garmoth for all players on July 10th after the maintainance!

New Class: Wukong!

The class heavily themed around Sun Wukong that has been released on the chinese version of Black Desert Mobile has finally been added to the global PC version of the game.
For the classes lore, the character is a descendant of Sun Wukong and is there for 100% human rather than part monkey. For his weapon his uses the extending Power Pole:
Normally the pole's attacks are fast and combo based, you can enter a mode called Fighting Buddha that can be sustained by dealing damage. Your moves will also pull you towards your enemies for engaging movement.

Wukong is an ascension class that starts with its awakening, using the Jade Pillar. Wukong also has shadows that spawn on some of his moves much like Strikers, here's how they look in combat:
To add to the Wukong theme, the class can ride on the nimbus cloud as part of its mobility, able to fly using it then rapidly speed up.

Wukong will also have story ties to Lahn, playing on the theme of Wukong meeting a woman on his journey, the two will be featured together in the class story line.

New Class: Savior!

A second class was announced as a concept. This is a female knight that uses a Claymore, the devs said they know some classes like Drakania have a 2 handed zweihander but this would be more like a Female Warrior.
This character is set to be released with Edania part 2 and will tie in much more with the story and themes of Edania as Wukong isn't really tied to the region thematically.
Removing PvP Resistances and Class Synergies

When addressing the removal of PvP resistances the devs mentioned the struggles of class summons, confusion and challenges in balancing from an outdated damage calculation formula.
Because resistances were a core feature of the game and there was all of these other issues, the devs decided to reorganize things all at once which needed a revamp of the games combat system.

When doing this revamp the devs focused on four different key points:
- Refining the damage calculation formula
- Removing resistance from PvP
- Grouping Synergy multipliers
- Improving the system to enhance the sense of equipment growth
Refining the Damage Calculation Formula

The devs started with Accuracy and Evasion which was often displayed as Accuracy Rate/ Evasion rate which was causing confusion.
Now these stats will be unified as Accuracy and Evasion with a 1% to 4 points conversion rate. Also all Accuracy effects attached to each class's skills will now be removed.
Currently each class receives different Accuracy effects for each skill based on their unique characteristics which made balancing difficult and caused unfair situations.
Now an Accuracy +18 effect per skill level will be added to Infinite Mastery, a common passive skill for all characters.
As an example they showed Hashashin's skill Inquisition that features a stat that increases Accuracy Rate by +19% and a Accuracy buff that increases all Accuracy Rate +6% for 10 seconds when using the skill.
These effects will be removed in the future as the extra Accuracy will be added to the passive skill Infinite Mastery instead. However, Accuracy effects on class specific passives will remain the same.
Next was the Damage Reduction Rate of Super Armor. So far the Damage Reduction Rate has been applied as a multiplicative stat so far but since it applies differently from various buffs in the game, its being changed.
It will now be an additive calculation, to make things more unified. Just changing it over would diminish its effectiveness so the devs are looking at the Damage Reduction Rates of these Super Armor skills.
Extra damage to species is also changing. They wanted to clearly distinguish how its applied in PvP and PvE. As an example, extra damage to humans no longer effects other players in PvP. It only effects humanoid monsters in PvE.
Now, there will be a new one called Extra Damage to Characters which will reduce confusion. This patch will also add the same amount of Extra Damage to Characters to all items that already have the Extra Damage to Humans effect.
Extra species damage will also no longer go past the AP soft caps for monster zones and zones will be adjusted.
From now on the deamage calculation formula for summoned entities will now be the same as for your character and the summons will now also benefit from your character's damage effects and damage increase effects.

Extra damage to specials will no longer ignore the target's Damage Reduction and stats will now be applied to summons in the same way as they are to characters, not monsters.
Summons getting stronger at night will also be removed and they'll now be effected by Extra damage to Characters instead of extra damage to monsters.
Removing Resistance from PvP
Resistances will no longer apply in PvP, there was some additional things the devs had to think about when making this change to the combat system.

E buff resistances and passives that give resistances would have to be changed to match the unique characteristics of each class, however they will still be applied in PvE, so resistances attached to skills will remain the same.
Grapple and Ranged grapples is something they're looking at especially, they're thinking of adding wind up animations to Ranged grapples and the grapple resistance isn't used in PvE so it can be removed entirely.
Items that give ignore Grapple Resistance will have compensation given which will just be suitable silver amounts.
Grouping Synergy multipliers

Synergy multipliers of classes will be applied to three different groups depending on the characteristics of each class. As an example, Ranger Succession and Ranger Awakening would be in two different group.
This is because of their different playstyles. Succession Ranger focuses on Ranged attacks while Awakening is more melee based so they're placed into different groups.

Mouse movement will also be blocked, despite it being considered part of the skill of playing a class in some cases it caused too many issues, mouse movement forcibly changes a character's movement mid-animation leading to desync.
Improving the Sense of Growth

To improve the sense of growth in equipment, if your gear is above 310 AP you'll gain +5 Extra AP against monsters for every point of AP though these changes are still under tests for balance adjustments so may change.
Because of this they'll be reworking PvE systems including monster zones, from now on AP requirements will much clearer and there'll be a more obvious soft cap.

Falling below the AP requirement of a zone will be very obvious and will nerf farming efficiency. Meeting the requirement will show clear rewards and they want to reward increasing your AP.
AP above a spots requirements won't show a big increase but as your AP increases you'll get better loot and be encouraged to move to a higher level monster zone. The devs are looking into nerfing one shot attacks from enemies.
There's no DP plans at the moment but they're looking into it. DP will mostly be important for instance based content like dungeons and bosses while AP is important in the open world.
New Edania Region
The new region Edania will be featured later in the guide, skip to Chapter 4 to the right if you'd like to know more about the new land that was announced at the Heidel Ball!
Heidel Ball Hot Time Event
To go along with the celebrations there's some events for the Heidel Ball, one of them being the month long hot time event starting on June 29th.

The hot time has 1000% Combat EXP and 100% extra drop rate, likely to help level all of the new Wukong characters when it releases!
Heidel Ball Chapter 1 - The Journey Begins
Now that some of the major announcements have been shown off, the rest of the announcements will be in the way that they appeared in the stream.
The Heidel Ball this time used Chapters, this guide will follow that format so that things can be summarized clearly for each chapter. This section focuses on new players and improvements for them.

UI and Quality of Life Improvements
For a long time players who join Black Desert have complained about the notification spam that litters the screen, for a new player this can be really overwhelming and annoying.
Now, these messages will be disabled and can be enabled by new players in the menu rather than players having to disable them.

This information is considered not needed by new players. The devs will also be looking into notifications like cooking complete notifications or overlapping boss icons. They're generally updating how these notifications work.
You'll also be able to disable or enable guild members enhancement or failure notifications.
New World Map Quality of Life Changes
Now on the map you'll be able to see where all of your family are on the world map, this means you can see the locations of your logged out alt characters at a glance.
There's a new manage family character icon added to the top right of the map which will display this new information.

Another feature added with this is that you no longer need to change to another character in order to move them to a different location. Previously you could only move characters to towns, now you can move them to nodes.

Its free to move town to town but it'll cost some silver to move to nodes. There's also a new upgrade to knowledge info on the world map to help it be more obvious where to obtain the knowledge.

They also made some streamlining changes to the way information is displayed on different menus to help declutter the map and the UI.
New Events Menu & Buffs Menu

There's a new events menu that will provide information about the event, give you the location and potentially guide you to the event's starting quest. It'll also show you how long events have left.

There's a new Buffs menu UI that will allow you to see detailed breakdowns of where the Buffs are coming from and what they provide. This can also include things like Character effects, Pets, Events, Training Level and Mastery.
Enhancement UI Improvements

Enhancements are receiving some quality of life changes as well. There'll now be a dedicated Enhancement Inventory where enhancement materials can be stored. Its family wide so no more searching for enhancement materials.

The materials will automatically be stored in this inventory and you don't need to move them out of this inventory in order to use them.
Items like Black Stones that can be listed on the Central Markeplace or have other uses aren't stored in this inventory.
Now the devs want to move away from the Failstacks term and just use Enhancement chance as the go to term. The new UI will also make it easier for people to use Valks' Cry and Devouring.
This is to help new adventures understand that this is to increase chances. "Use Cron Stones" somehow wasn't clear enough, so they've now added "Level Protection" which allow you to use Cron stones or Hammers.
New Season Benefits and 10 Billion Silver for New Players
To help ease players in to progression and enhancing, Tuvala accessories will now no longer be destroyed before the TRI grade, this is to make the Season enhancing a smoother process.

To make sure that adventurers know that accessories can be destroyed, TET and PEN can still cause the accessories to blow up like most other accessories.
Most new players finish the Season server after around 9 days, new players completing Season servers in this time usually only have around 400 million to 1 billion silver according to Pearl Abyss data.

Some finish in as little as 3 days. To help with the progression of new players, the game will now be providing them 10 billion silver. This isn't a one time lump sum but they decided silver is more flexible than simply giving more benefits.
To avoid exploits, apparently it's spread among main story quests and other objectives that will have the players actually playing the game rather than making it a fast, easy 10 billion that can be exploited.
Helping Other Players With Black Shrine Bosses
There's a new feature being added where you will still be able to help other adventurers even if you've used up all of your own Party Black Shrine.
Previously you would only be able to retry bosses you've already beaten and difficulties you've already cleared but now you'll be able to challenge and boss and difficulty as many times as you like.

This should be a nice update for people who have been frustrated with not being able to help guild members but you won't be able to receive any rewards if you've already used up your weekly runs.
Attoraxion Quality of Life Change

Similar to Black Shrine, there used to be adventurers who used to help others progress through Atoraxxion. With the feature to skip to straight to the boss fight, this made it harder for these players helping out with dungeon clears.
The Dagger items to progress through the dungeons will now be dropped from the boss instead of being awarded as quest rewards to hopefully streamline this process.
Olvia School

The devs said that new players using the Mentor/Mentee system were able to progress four to five times faster than regular new players. As such they want to provide more systems like this to help new players.
They are planning to revamp the Olvia area into a beginner-only zone with an Olvia School, a school for new adventurers. There'll be monsters to fight and players can try out some Life Skills.
That was the end of the updates for section 1, here's when you can expect these to be added to the game!
Chapter 2: Into the Wide World

Chapter 2 was more centered around mid game players and included a lot of quality of life improvements for both new and veteran players.
All in One Preset
With the All in One Preset is that you'll be able to view all your various settings on a single screen. The biggest feature of the All in One Preset is that it doesn't need to be managed.

When you enter certain content, the All in One Preset will automatically be applied. For example when you enter the Arena of Solare you can now set your Preset in advance.

This means if you're doing some PvE grinding, then get queued up for a match of Arena of Solare, the game will automatically switch to your preset for the arena and then switch back when you leave again.
Adventure Logs Simplified
The devs mentioned that players can find the early game overwhelming and that adventure logs are entirely mandatory instead of something that players choose to do.

To help with this, all stat rewards have been added to Igor Bartali's Adventure Log. Now it's the only one you'll really need to do for stats that adventure logs provide.
This makes it much easier for new players. The rest of the adventure logs will receive other unique rewards like coloured titles and the rewards will be given out to players who've already completed them in the past.

The idea is up to change these adventure logs into challenge or objective based content that is optional rather than a mandatory set of content that must be completed to match other players.
Klau's Old Moon Seed Pouch
Klau's Old Moon Seed pouch aims to be a temporary solution while the devs work on making seeds stackable items. This pouch is for storage only, you won't be able to plant directly from this UI.

The max limit of this seed pouch is 50 slots at the time of announcement but may be adjusted if the devs feel like more is required to make the pouch effective.

It's really easy to obtain, once you get Farming Skilled 1, you just need to interact with the Old Moon Manager in order to obtain it. You can only have one pouch per family.
Alt Energy Changes
Since Energy based content like Life Skills often requires you to change character so that you can use another character's energy, recently a change was made to allow hiring from alts.
This update makes it so that you'll also be able to use the Energy from your alts for this hiring process as well.

You'll also be able to use alt characters Energy at Patrigio's Shop as well, which is a big quality of life change for anyone who uses those shops to roll Energy towards getting items.
Silver Embroidered Life Skill Clothes

The Silver Embroidered Life Skill Clothes have been cut down, their effects like Cooking Time Reduction, Processing Success Rate will be moved over to the Manos equipment.
This is because changing outfits just for the extra bonuses all of the time was inconvenient for Life Skill players.

Players who already have Silver Embroided Life Skill clothes will be compensated for these items, you'll get silver up to DUO and from TRI and above you'll get a JIN, BON or WON Dawn Crystal - Life EXP based on the enhancement level.
They're using the Dawn crystal name because these crystals use the slots provided by the old Kharazad accessory. This slot is now available from Preonne accessories.
You can also craft these JIN, BON or WON Dawn Crystal - Life EXP crystals by using pre-existing materials.
Because failing to process an item can be frustrating, the devs are adding the Processing Success Rate effect from the Silver Embroidered clothes to the Manos Craftsman's Clothes as well as buffing the base Processing Success rate.
Patrigio's Extra Large Apparel Bag & Merv's Carry-on Bag
With the growing number of Pearl items and costumes, players are struggling with filled Pearl Inventory slots. To help give more space, these new bags have been created.
Patrigio's Extra Large Apparel Bag gives an extra 40 slots that you can store outfits inside of, each family can have up to 5 of these and they're obtainable through the loyalties shop.

Merv's Carry-on Bag is the opposite, this one will allow you to quick swap rather than being just for additional storage, with just one click you can change your entire outfit. You can get 12 of them per year from the loyalties store.

The existing Patrigio's Apparel bag will be removed and players who have one already will be given Merv's Carry-on Bags as compensation equal to the amount of bags they own.
You won't be able to get Patrigio's Apparel bag anymore but you can still use the ones you already own as extra storage.
Main Maids
Maids can now be assigned as a "Main Maid" which will let you fully customize their appearance. Previously maids have had preset looks but now you'll be able to make your own maid character.
The Main Maids seem to use character class appearances as their base appearance, as they gave the example of a Shai dressed in a Shai exclusive outfit or a Giant for a sturdy butler.

You're able to convert Pearl shop outfits into maid-exclusive outfits to dress them up, you can also convert the maid-exclusive outfits back to outfits wearable by your character. The main maids don't give any gameplay advantages.
Once you set a main maid, every time you use a maid, they'll be the ones you see. There's other small features like your maid will join you on wagons when riding. You can name them and chat with them, devs are also testing things with AI.
Blue Battlefield
This is naval based PVP content, the opposite of Red Battlefield. It's meant for guilds to be able to have naval combat but was previously put on hold.
They found out that Occupation Node war rules managed to work for this naval PVP combat system quite well and they decided to work on it.
This naval combat will take place in the Balenos Sea and the Calpheon Sea, the first release will be the Balenos Sea this summer. Guilds can register up to 20 members for the battlefied.
But for participation to actually count, half of the registered members must actually participate. Depending on the number of guilds that join, Forts will spawn across random islands in the Balenos Sea.
Capturing a fort or destroying at least 10 enemy ships is the minimum condition for rewards. Like with Occupation Node Wars, at the end of the battlefield the guild occupying the fort wins.

Ship speed and movement stats will be reduced by 50% while playing Blue Battlefield as ships are normally too quick for fun naval battles to happen. You also won't be able to repair your ship.
This means you'll have to dock back at wharfs to repair your ship if its destroyed. There's a special Blue Battlefield traveller's map that will let you avoid being stranded at sea. There's no penalties for sailors during Blue Battlefield.

Ships will have different roles so that guilds must manage their fleet. The Guild Galley will become extremely durable and can deal much more damage to forts during Blue Battlefield.
You're only allowed one of these Guild galleys per guild. Carracks are better for destroying enemy fleets and will be the main combat units.
Panokseons will act as tanks that break enemy lines, they'll receive buffs to their defence and their "Smoothturn" skill will change from 45 degrees to being able to turn 180 degrees in place to fire in different directions.

The last ships are the Epheria Galleons that were called a wildcard for the battles, these ships are extremely tough but their attacks are weak. It's defence will be slightly lowered and its attack will be boosted.
It'll work as basically like a naval Node War with the same time schedules. This will be all about ships and wont use character stats at all. The rewards will be silver and some tailored towards ocean content like re-rolling sea crystals.
That was the end of Chapter 2, here's the release schedule for these updates!
Chapter 3 - Beyond the Desert Sands
This chapter is focused on veteran players who've already settled into the world of Black Desert, this is the chapter just before heading into Edania. The previous chapters were considered light while this section was said to be advanced.

Allan Serbin's Landscape
A lot of players spend time trying to obtain treasure items that can take hours and hours of effort to obtain. This is a way to make things different without lowering the difficulty of the current treasure hunting.

The landscape painting is a magical frame that captures the scenery of treasure monster zones like Aakman Temple or Hystria Ruins. Essentially this allows you to farm for treasure items in 300+ AP zones instead of the normal location.
You're given a buff that lets you get treasure materials from that monster zone even while killing enemies somewhere else. For example you could get items from Hystria Ruins even at Golden Pig Cave or Dark Seeker's Retreat.

To activate a landscape you'll need a "Scenery" item that will be obtainable from the original treasure grind spot. For example you can gain "Scenery of Hystria" from Hystria Ruins.
When you use the scenery item, you'll be given a number of spell charges equal to the item use. Defeating monsters will consume spell charges - basically its sort of like Agris Fever. This can also allow party zone items to be obtained solo.
Alchemy Stone Progression Revamp
The revamp to the Alchemy Stone system to make it less complex and easier to progress through. Previously Alchemy stones had 8 levels. Imperfect all the way up to Shining.
There's also four diffferent colour grades, white, green blue and yellow. Here's how it looked:
In a future update the levels and grades will be simplified. Levels will now be reduced to six. Imperfect, Sturdy, Sharp, Resplendent, Splendid and Shining. Each level will now only have one grade, yellow.

Players with different grades or levels that have an item removed will be given silver as compensation depending on which alchemy stone they have and its value.
Enhancing Alchemy stones will also be changed. Now the success will be displayed and you can use Cron Stones to prevent it from being destroyed if even you fail.

The Ancient Anvil system will be added to Alchemy stones as well, letting you guarantee a success after a certain amount of failures as a pity system. Shining Alchemy stones will have a high Ancient Anvil requirement.
Sovereign Sub Weapons

The Sovereign Sub-weapons are being added soon to complete the full set of Sovereign weapons. They have additional stats as you might expect and have the same glowing features as the other Sovereign weapons.
The Sovereign sub-weapon combines the powers of both Nouver and Kutum and they can be enhanced to DEC with the same enhancement rates as usual Sovereign weapons.

You might need to click on the image to full size it so that you can see the stats. The sub-weapons will require more materials thana main or awakening weapon due to its increase in power.
There's 3 methods to make them.
- 2 PEN Blackstar sub-weapons +1 Gem of Twilight.
- 1 PEN Blackstar sub-weapon + 1 PEN Kutum Caphras Level 20 + 1 PEN Nouver Caphras Level 20
- 1 PEN Blackstar sub-weapon + 1 Gem of Twilight and a new item called "Gem of the Primordial"
Dine - Arduanatt - Doom

The next thing shown was the combination of all 3 tier 10 mythical horses, Dine, Arduanatt and Doom. They have been combined into one horse that shifts seemlessly between all three forms.
While running, the horse will be in the form of a doom horse.

When you jump and begin to glide or fly, the doom horse will transition into the Pegasus / Arduanatt.

Then when running on water it will turn into a Mythical tier 10 Dine and when running on the sand it will turn into a Tier 9 dream Dine as that aesthetic fits the desert best.

Anyone who already has a sanctuary will receive this horse as the devs didnt want to lock this behind even more requirements after trainers have worked so hard to get one of each horse.
Anyone who makes a sanctuary will also receive one. This is a seperate horse that starts at level 1 with all 37 skills except from two-seater, its base stats are also maxed out to make it the best horse in the game.
Instant Tag Feature
There was a quick mention of an instant tag feature that will allow players to change characters to their tagged characters without fully logging out.

They're not sure if this is entirely possible but will try to work on it to make tagging more convenient. There is a number of issues they'll have to avoid like teleporting across the map or exploits.
That was the end of Chapter 3, here was the time schedule for when players can expect the content to release.

Chapter 4 - Transcending All Limits

Chapter 4 focuses all about Edania, monster zones here will be focused around end game players. You'll be able to find Edania north of Valencia, the devs hope that this conent will be something players strive towards beating.
Part 1 will take place on the left side of the map and part 2 will take place on the right. Hakinja Sanctuary will be the town of the area. The other Castles shown on the map are all castles belonging to bosses.
The order of difficulty is Jordine, Rusalka, Cartian, Enslar and then Caphras. These bosses have all had lore built up in the Black Desert lore though Corsair's mother Rusalka is new. Caphras will be the final boss of part 1.
There'll be more castles in part 2, one of these castles is for the black dragon Markthanan from the Mountain of Eternal Winter storyline. Part 1 ends the existing story while Part 2 will move on to reveal a new story line.

Jordine's Castle requires 350 AP and 427 DP which is the first castle you'll encounter at the start of the zone. Later the castles will go all the way up to 380 AP while the DP will rise up to 460.

There are 5 bosses in Edania so far but you'll only be able to fight one per week. they want the weekly drops to be worth it while not being overly challenging. They don't want players to feel like they have to do several bosses a week.
New Lightstones & Artifacts
You can get loot from the new zones that let you reform your old artifacts like Dehkia artifacts which lets you craft new ones. There's also new light stones that you can make from combining existing lightstones and new materials.
This is Dehkia's Visionary Artifact, compared to the regular one it gives another all AP +6. The new Lightstone of fire: Fallen will give additional damage to species +2 which can be combined like old lightstones.

There'll be an "Extra Damage to Edanian Monsters" stat as well and there will be new crystals for this stat too.

The new zones will drop different crystals. The Crystal of Dusky Oblivion will drop from low tier monsters while Crystals of Dusky Ruin will be from higher zones. Both have extra damage to Edanian Monsters.
The green one is a new life skill crystal called the Crystal of Breathing Verdure which gives the combined effect of the Life Crystal and the Vital Crystal. It gives both Life Exp and Life Skill Mastery buffs.

They're working on making it possible to upgrade existing Dawn Crystals and there'll be changes for alchemy too. With the new stat they'll be adding new elixirs and new perfumes as well.
The new perfumes and elixirs will obviously be coming from materials that come from Edania, they're wanting to make high tier perfumes as some perfumes are in high demand like Perfume of Courage.
There's two new items Primordial Fragment and Gem of the Primordial which are used for the new Sovereign sub-weapons. 1000 Primordial Fragments are required to craft a Gem of the Primordial.
The Primordial Fragments will be obtained from Edania from bosses, monster zones, quests and weekly quests. This is the slowest way to make the sub-weapons. The main questline gives you 100 of these fragments once per family.

New Edana's Defence Gear

A new Primordial defense gear set which is the next tier after the Slumbering Origin defense gear is going to be added in Edania as well. The new gloves and boots will combine Damage Reduction and Evasion sets.
Edana's Defense Gear will work like Sovereign weapons where the first stages will be easy to enhance as the later levels of Slumbering Origin defense gear was really difficult to enhance.

Rather than letting people have all four of the new pieces at once, the crafting process is simplified but the materials will be gated to control progression.
To make the gear pieces you must combine a piece of TET Slumbering Origin Defense gear with one Fragment of Edana. You can get one of these fragments immediately after defeating a boss in Edana so crafting will be faster.

Enhancing requires a special material called Edana's Black stone, basically you mix a new item drop, Fragments of Edana combined with old materials. You can only defeat one boss a week and earn one Fragment a week.
This will make enhancing the gear take a really long time intentionally, for people who don't yet have TET gear, they can stockpile Fragments of Edana for when they're ready to make an Edana gear piece.

Since PEN Slumbering Origin gear was so hard to create and there was a total of 99 peices across the entire game, people with PEN Slumbering Origin gear can convert it immediately into OCT Edana gear as a reward.
The success rate from TET to PEN is 14.87% with 240 stacks, from SEP to OCT is 4.99% with 310 stacks. The ancient anvil also works on these new pieces. It'll be set to 30 for OCT. This is because of limited enhancing materials.

There will be new exclusive visual effects applied to these armour pieces at PEN and OCT and this will be a design they want to keep. They also mentioned they don't mind straying away from the games lore for outfits.
If you collect all four pieces of this new Edana's gear, you'll unlock an outfit that looks the same as the gear set which can be used on your main or on an alt.

The Damage Reduction and Evasion will now be combined in gloves and shoes now. The chest piece goes all the way up to 124 DP at DEC. To compensate for the extra DP, Sovereign main and awakening weapons will get extra AP.
At PEN, HEX and SEP they'll get an extra +1 AP each time for an extra +3 AP and reforming your Sovereign weapon will give you another +3 AP for a total of +6 AP.
Sovereign Main weapons will now be able to be Reformed and will receive a +3 AP bonus as well and to help balance the increased evasion, they'll gain an additional Accuracy +50.
Because the reform requires a garmoth heart that is hard to get, they're giving out a free garmoth heart on July 10th that cannot be traded.
Edana's Throne

This is PvP content where a player can act as a boss of one of the castles, ruling as a lord and becoming an Edana and will have their own throne that was shown off as well.

After becoming an Edana you must still defend your throne. In order to become an Edana you must first defeat the boss, you can then join the battle of Edanas that will happen each week. Only 10 selected adventurers can do so.
This is based on gear score, they gave the example that if there are 100 worthy adventurers, the 7 with the highest AP & DP combined are selected and then 3 are chosen at random to make up the 10.

Then these 10 players will fight, there's no rules and the last one standing becomes the Edana, earning the throne. This battle takes place in an instanced area and isnt broadcast anywhere.
The Edana will then have a week to enjoy being the lord, the same Edana process will happen and then the current Edana must duel the challenger, the winner is the lord. If a lord is absent they automatically lose.

The lord is not server exclusive, its shared across all servers. The lord gets a crown that lets you use the world and server chat without consuming energy with a special icon to show everyone else you're the Edana.
Edania has a Marni's realm, you need to buy a pass to enter it. The Edana gets some of this as tax. Edanas don't have a cooldown when switching servers near their castle or any death penalties, even when attacking other players.
Edanas can also bestow a blessing, giving players a +100% item drop rate buff for 2 hours, the blessings take this up to 400% instead of 300% which makes it really valuable. It can be used up to 10 times over the lord's 1 week rule.
Master Class PvP Tournament

A new class vs class tournament system where players will compete against players of the same class to determine who is the master of their class. The succession and awakenings are not seperated.
Only the top 5% geared players of a class can enter but the tournament will use designated gear sets to remain balanced. The winner of each class will get a new mount, the Griffin.

The winners of each class will get to use this for a full year and everyone will know you're the best of your class. The mount was mentioned to be top class mount. There'll be 30 masters per region.
