Calpheon Ball 2025

Introduction

Calpheon Ball 2025 includes some amazing gifts, new announcements and a new class release! 

 

  • The Heidel Ball gift includes 30,000 crons, 5 Hammers, a +400 stack and login rewards for even more! 
  • A new class previously known as Saviour has been released as Seraph, she is a greatsword user
  • Olivia Academy will be added that acts as a massive update to the way players learn the game
  • As always there's exciting new features, game changes and updates that will be discussed too! 

 

Schedule of Updates

We'll be talking about all of the updates announced, but first here's a TLDR schedule that gives a quick overview of what to expect and when to expect them! 

 

Calpheon Gifts & Codes! 

One of the most exciting things that players look forward to with the ball events is the gift codes, so we'll start out with those. This time you'll be able to grab 30K Crons immediately, 5 hammers and a set of stacks all the way up to +400! 

 

Use the codes THNX4BEINGWITHUS and THEDESERTTHNXYOU for these rewards!


You'll get an extra 10k crons from thedesertthnxyou code. There's also going to be attendence rewards as well:

New Class Release - Seraph 

The new class Seraph is a greatsword user, she's released on global lab and releases officially on Thursday 18th of December, she'll release on the 8th of January on console

 

She's an Ascension class though both of her weapons are greatswords. She uses Main Weapon: Sacramentum, Awakening Weapon: Purgatum and her sub-weapon is a Clavis. 

 

 

Seraph is supposed to be similar to Awk. Warrior and feel like older classes. Popping her Z buff (Black Spirits Rage) will let you pick between Light and Dark forms. Light is small AoEs and suited for PvP but still good for PvE. 

 

Dark is comfortable with huge AoEs that are slower but makes grinding more comfortable. Like warrior she has a Guard and is a Damage Reduction style class. She has a unique passive "Unshakable Will" which lets her combo skills. 

 

 

PvE - Zone Changes, Weekly Cron Stones, Alchemy & Altar of Blood Reworks and Progression Rewards.  

Old content needs "cleaning up" rather than making just new content, gear score has jumped up higher than expected causing a demand for Origin of Dark Hunger, devs tried to encourage grind zones with higher Deboreka drop rates. 

 

That didn't seem like enough but they have plans to address this, monster zones are operating roughly as envisioned. 

 

Player gear scores from April to November and what % of players have that gear score currently. 

 

Players have grown faster than expected, most Season graduates are at around 740 gear score. They are reworking monster zones as new top tier zones. These zones will have new mechanics and will be different to Edania. 

 

The new Stars End zone will still focus on Down attack gameplay rather than the new Edania style of combat zone

 

Upper Sycraia Underwater Ruins also is getting revamped now needing 300AP & 390 DP, it'll have better Merchant Ring drop rates. There'll also be a new 3 player party zone, Black Energy Floodlands in Edania needing 380 AP & 440 DP. 

 

 

Dehkia Mirumok Ruins will be 350 AP, 427 DP and Dehkia Gyfin Temple will be 370 AP, 440 DP, they're added as 3 player party zones. Other zones will have unique loot to help seperate them from other options. 

 

Corrupted Oil of Immortality is one option while another is materials for dyeing the glow effect of your weapons & armour. The dyes are set colours, currently purple and red, they can also be listed on the Central Marketplace. 

 

 

More colours will be added and be just as rare. They want to balance content between new players and veterans. They're adding rewards for gear score milestones, these will be retroactive rewards so everyone will get them.

 

Upon reaching milestones, you'll be given a hammer box letting you choose a hammer for upgrades all the way up to 385 AP for a total of 20 boxes, you can also choose 1k Crons if you don't need hammers. 

 

 

There'll be more support for those under 340 AP as well. More content will give Cron stones as well. Pit of the Undying is a way but only 18% of players do it, Dark Rifts will now give 100 Crons each so roughly 600 Crons every 5 days. 

 

Dark Rift loot boxes will be updated, Atoraxxion boss clears will also reward Cron Stones, if you beat all 4 Atoraxxion bosses you'll get an extra 500 Crons, letting you get up to 1600 Cron Stones a week. 

 

 

To make this simpler and not just more chores, Atoraxxion is being reworked. Elvia difficulty will be the only difficulty, you'll only need to clear the dungeons once instead of twice a week, for the same rewards. Rewards will be buffed too. 

 

World bosses will change, instead of a max spawn of 4 bosses at once, it will be 2 maximum. The quests for Land of Morning Light bosses will be removed so you can gain rewards whenever they spawn, Garmoth's quest will stay as it is.

 

 

Buffs are being improved too. Church buffs which will be called "Blessing of Adventure" it'll stay as the same price. You'll be able to have these buffs as scrolls. Camp Sites buffs will stay the same but can also be kept as scrolls too. 

 

Villa buff Skill and EXP buffs will be merged into Body Enhancement, it can be kept as a scroll. You'll need the Secret Book of Old Moon still if you buy it from the tent. Fairies will get a buff to be able to use more items automatically:

 

 

Primordial Blackstones will be exchangable for Fail stacks, for the maximum you'll need 170 Primordial Blackstones for a 200 stack, here's the list they have planned: 

 

There's a new feature called Marni's Field Report, it activates automatically when grinding monster zones and tells you about your time at that particular grind spot in the Marni's realm. 

 

It shows how long you've been in a zone, how much loot you've earned, it'll show which of your characters earned loot as well as their AP/DP. It also saves the date and time of the saved grind session. This acts as an improvement tracker.

 

 

Lastily was the Alchemy Stone Rework, this was delayed due toVell's Heart, now you can merge alchemy stones with Processing (SImple Alchemy) with Vell's Heart to make a new stone that has the effects of one stone + Vell's AP stat. 

 

They hope to make it easier to gain better alchemy stones but want to restrict materials in a way similar to Edania Defense gear, this is so it doesn't undermine the effort of players who've already made these rare alchemy stones. 

 

Materials for the alchemy stones will come from Dark Rift bosses making them even more beneficial together with them getting Cron Stones as a completion reward.  

 

 

Altar of Blood is being reworked as a 3 player party co-op mode. The goal is still the same, defend the center relic and if it reaches 0 HP you fail, if you clear the stage you move on to the next stage. 

 

300AP is recommended for the first stage, since you won't take many hits outside of boss fights, you won't need high DP. The recommended AP increases by 5 AP per stage, 30 stages are being made and will benefit from co-op tactics. 

 

 

For rewards, you'll receive a weekly reward plus another reward based on the highest stage you cleared, you can also now replay any stage at any time so that you can replay it with guild members or friends. 

 

Failstacks and Origin of Dark Hungers will be the main form of loot with stack rewards being reasonable so there's no pressure to feel mandatory or stressful. 

 

PvP - Node & Conquest War Updates, Red Battlefield, Arena of Solare, War of the Roses 

For Balance, they aware that DP can allow you to avoid being one comboed but you can still one combo your opponent, in Guild League DP builds can ruin the fun by being tanky and deleting annexes. They're still looking into it.

 

Next is Node Wars, they want to add fresh content so Ulukita and Edania are being added as Node War regions, this is for their wide open spaces suitable for Node Wars. 

 

 

Tier 1 will now be Balenos and Serendia, Tier 2 will be Valencia and Ulukita and Tier 3 will be Calpheon and Edania. Tier 1 will stay fixed, Tier 2 and 3 will rotate over time on a regular schedule. Mediah and Kamasylvia may return later. 

 

Occupation mode can sometimes have passive fights, 5 guilds will now be placed in the same territory to encourage big fights. If 6 or more guilds join up they'll be split among two regions, such as 3 guilds in a region, and 3 in another.

 

The last fort standing converts to a "?" timed fort so the fort is not just stalled out and boring. Participation rewards will also be changed and Construction Node Wars will be extended to now last 2 hours while Occupation will still be 1 hour.


 

More improvements: Alliances can use the world map ping system, guild rally skills work in the desert and you can now tell if a trap placement is valid or not without first doing the animation and killstreak notifications will be added. 

 

Chat system messages about guild or alliance actions will increase, now there will be alerts for things like kills Flame Towers or Hwachas, hits and destroys on forts or annexes with cannons and alerts about construction completing. 

 

They're increasing the value of trade in rewards using a medal of honor currency, the rewards will be much better but you won't be able to use the old currency due to how much of the old currency is already in curculation. 

 

Guild tactics system is also being removed so they're not a barrier to entry, Node War Results screen will also be improved. 

 

 

Conquest War is also receiving changes. The war will end when the castle is destroyed and the guild with the highest score will become the new lord. All other guilds get tiered rewards based on their scores. 

 

Defenders will now try to hold out as long as they can while attackers try to race to destroy the castle fort as fast as possible. A new reward will be given to everyone in a Conquest War no matter if they win or lose. 

 

The duration of the war effects how these rewards are distributed, attacker guilds will get more of the rewards if they're fast, if defenders last a hold out for a long time they'll get the majority of the rewards. 

 

 

Defenders can now install annex buildings anywhere within the castle, Calpheon will be temporarily removed from Conquest Wars, Balenos & Serendia will be added. Seige focused Conquest will be Mediah and Valencia. 

 

Balenos and Serendia will be for Regional Free For All occupation rules. Conquest War buffs now effect all regions. Unlimited Conequest Wars will give a Item Drop Rate +50% buff for all territories. 

 

Balenos/Serendia Conquest Wars will grant a +20% buff. The family buff exclusive to Node Wars will be awarded as well, regardless of territory everyone will receive the highest level of buff. 

 

 

Red Battlefield is getting changes, matchmaking will change to a queue up system like Arena of Solare, rewards will be improved but there's also now minimum participation reward requirements like kills/deaths, damage done and etc. 


Full details will be given on Launch. There might also be Honour Rewards and Long Term Rewards. Honour Rewards are tied to a new Ranking System. Long Term rewards will work like the Cumulative challenge from Arena of Solare. 

 

 

A better HUD will be added to Arena of Solare, it'll show more info like distance from an ally and if they're CC'd a "!" will alert you of that. Voice chat will now be automatically activated but Mic input is disabled by default. 

 

An MMR system will be added, MVP and ACE will also include damage dealt. Winning points will always be the same in the same tier, losses will be make you lose a different amount of points depending on the tier. 


 

There's changes coming to War of the Roses. The map will be scaled down as the upper zones saw little action despite needing to be captured. 

 

Monster Damage Reduction effects were overpowered so they're getting nerfed, Spirit's Altar's spawn will be changed to 45 instead of 15 minutes.

Commanders will also have a new protective effect that stays until the S1 or N1 node is captured, 3rd Legion can now fill remaining slots and a team chat will be activated 3 hours earlier. 

 

 

The amount of Traces of Thunderbolt has been increased and more medals will be given to winners and 3rd Legion participants. 

 

Olvia Academy 

A new piece of content is being added to help new players called Olvia Academy, this will act as a tutorial for those who graduate from the Season servers. 

 

 

There will be classes, you'll also receive an Academia Outfit if you enrole in a class. the combat course will teach you things like back attack and down attack as well as monster zone mechanics. 

 

 

There is training monster zones and weekly quests and boss weekly quests that can be done with other students, completing the combat course gives you a PEN Blackstar Weapon Box, exclusive Blackstar hammers & 6000 Crons.

 


The rewards also give a new material that is a guaranteed enhancement item for a PEN (V) Blackstar weapon. 

 

This for new and returning players, there's also life skilling classes ran by NPCs, they provide tools, for each course you'll get Manos gear for that life skill, finishing all courses will let you graduate from the Olvia academy. 

 

After graduating, you can return to pick up weekly rewards and random weekly quests from the bulletin board. There's 9 Life skill classes and each also rewards 1000 Crons for a total of 9k, 15k if you complete the combat course too. 

 

 

Also, to help new players, the Magnus quest will no longer need to be fully completed for its rewards like world storage and teleporting across the world or the PEN gear, you'll only need to finish the first quest for this quality of life. 

 

 

Naru gear is being removed, Tuvala is the only Season set and will no longer be Season only gear, time filled blackstones will now be Time Filled Fragments which are only for item exchange or repairing Tuvala gear. 

 

Tuvala will now use regular black stones for enhancement for now on to remain simpler for new players. 

 

Guild Content

Guild missions will now recharge 10 per day and will stack up to 30/30 if not completed, guild bosses will get better rewards but because of this, War Heroes are only for Node / Conquest wars and can't join guild bosses. 


Puturum has been removed, Org and Moghulis will be added, all bosses are closer together now. Guild Bosses will have their own field like Khan. The bosses will have increased rewards. 

 

 

You will able to change alliance max size and ratios without disbanding, you can now buy materials from the guild shop instead of only gathering them from sea monster hunting to relieve pressure on guild members doing a lot of work. 

 

The Guild Platoon has been added that will merge with the normal Find Party / Platoon, Guild Buffs now effect a whole family and will work differently, including a new Guild Buff UI. The guild history page will now have more records too. 

 

 

There will also be an improvement to family fame funding that they'd like to be more meaningful instead of something that's forgotten about. 

 

Lifeskill Content 

Life skill money will be raised to meet Fishing, byproducts will be brought in line with Cooking, for Horse Training, you'll now store EXP to use however you want rather than having to constantly check EXP in order to reroll skills.

 

Mount Skill change coupons and Mount Level Down tickets can be used wherever you are instead of at the stables. EXP variations based on level have been removed and EXP has been increased overall. 

 

 

New wild horses have been added, some might have special Courser skills like S: Instant Accel, you might find one that grows 5 times slower but sells for 8 times more. This is to make catching more exciting. 


Krogdalo's Sanctuary will also store up to 5 horses in the future, Krogdalo can also be added as can all other horses. It also allows for remote collection and will move the horses to inside the item if you move it to another character. 

 

It only works if you have the Celestial Horse Calling Horn, mounts will no longer be able to carry goods or treasure items. 

 

 

A new treasure has been added for Life Skills, it allows you to place down your camp, teleport to a residence of your choice then teleport back to your camp. The materials for it are obtained through Gathering. 

 

It can also be sold on the Central Marketplace. For farming, when crops are grown under correct conditions a lot of crops will be unified at 20 hours but will give more rewards so you don't have to keep checking in on your crops. 

 

 

For Trading, the weight of Tier 2 items has been reduced from 800 LT to 400 LT to allow you to do more bartering in one trip, Level 6 and 7 barter goods will be added which can't be transported through storage. 

 

Kamasylvia, Land of the Morning Light and Edania will get new trade routes, the level 6 and 7 items are available in towns and cities. 

 

 

Edania will be getting a hunting zone, it's a high tier hunting zone with new monsters which will require you to roll for smooth hunting, there's a chance to obtain Hunting Trophies like a rare Golden Coral Stoneback Crab full body trophy

 

The Golden crab trophy gives +100 Hunting Mastery when used, profits will also be adjusted. 

 

 

Inland fishing will get an increase in profits, not to surpass Velia beach but to bring inland Fishing returns closer to the Velia ones, it'll let you feel like you can fish anywhere without missing out. 

 

When selling fish to traders, you will be able to select and sell only specific fish types in bulk, auto-discard has been added to manual fishing. 


 

Quality of Life Updates

Instant swapping of tag characters was previously looked into, now it can be twice as fast and is still being looked into, it may be released in March 2026. 

 


You'll be able to check any class's skills directly from your Skill Window, this will help especially for PvP. Now you can view your mounts on the world map, hotkeys for the world map are also being worked on. 

 

 

An All-In-One alert system is also being added which will notify you about content you add to it. Adventure Logs UI will also be cleaned up so they're more visually clear. 

 

 

Snowboarding Event, New Costumes & Crimson Desert Pre-Order

Snowboarding is back with new game mode types to keep the event fresh and interesting, there'll also be a leaderboard with a top 100 that will give even more rewards. 

 

You can also reset using Esc to retry which will teleport you to the top of the mountain, the event starts on the 24th of December. 

 

 

New Outfits "Spotlight" will be added with different variations available as well, here's a preview of some of the costumes:
