Introduction
The Elvia Realm - Calpheon is more difficult, high end versions of low level Calpheon grind spots!
- The Calpheon Elvia Realm are all focused around mid to high end solo grind spots
- Alchemy Stone Upgrade Reforms can be crafted from materials that drop in Calpheon's Elvia Realm
- Calpheon Elvia Realm spots drop materials that can be used for Godr-Ayed Weapons
- Calpheon Elvia Realm has its own special mechanics that can increase your kill speed while grinding
Accessing Elvia Realm
To access the Elvia Realm you can use Esc - Adventure - Elvia Realm or just use the search function and search for Elvia
When you select it you'll be given a new UI window that will allow you to move into the Elvia Realm. Previously, Elvia could only be accessed on certain servers but this is no longer the case.
The Elvia Realm can now be accessed on all channels, this was done to provide more of the grind zones because they were so popular.
To leave Elvia Realm again, check the top right of your screen, you'll see a new icon that will allow you to exit the Elvia Realm.
When entering and exiting the Elvia Realm, your character will take a knee and there'll be a quick loading animation.
Why Grind in Elvia Calpheon?
Calpheon Elvia has a pretty good variation in gear requirements, ranging from mid game to late game spots that require a higher gear score.
The money per hour at these spots is pretty competitive, but they also come with unique mechanics and materials that can't be found outside of Elvia Calpheon.
Once of these is for the Alchemy Stone Upgrade Reform stones, these enhance your Alchemy stone with up to +4 DP.
Materials for the Godr-Ayed Weapons (the alternative way to progress through enhancing a BlackStar Weapon) are also found in Calpheon Elvia Realm.
Calpheon Elvia Realm Mechanics
While grinding at Calpheon Elvia Realm grind spots, a Distortion effect can occur which will alter the weather and world around you.
These Elvia Distortions have a chance to spawn bosses and shadowy enemies called Shadow of Nightmares when grinding near to the distortions.
If lightning begins to strike, Gigagord will appear. If it's an icy wind then the boss will be a Cylops and If a meteor falls from the sky, an Ogre boss monster will spawn.
Here's an image of the Elvia Distortions that you should grind near:
Defeat the bosses of the Elvia Distortion Phenomenon to receive the "Corrupting Darkness" buff and "Remnants of Darkness" debuff.
- Corrupting Darkness: increases the damage dealt to Elvia Calpheon monsters (as a 5 minute buff)
- Remnants of Darkness: This is a debuff that stops you obtain the Corrupting Darkness buff (for 30 minutes)
This basically functions similarly to Serendia Elvia Realm's weapon buffs. You also have a low chance of obtaining Ancient Spirit Light by grinding in Calpheon Elvia.
Ancient Spirit Light increases the damage dealt to Elvia Calpheon monsters for 5 minutes as well. You'll need to use the item in your inventory to access the buff.
It'll last for 6 hours in your inventory before expiring, make sure you use it while grinding so you don't miss out!
Calpheon Elvia Grindspots
The locations for these grind spots are within the Calpheon region as the name might imply, but if you're thinking of grinding in these locations, chances are you know where they are.
In this section there'll be a quick breakdown of grind spot mechanics as well as their current average drops.
You can see an up to date version of the drops using our global grind tracker, here!
Saunil Camp
Defeat Saunils scattered around the camp until the call for reinforcements and begin attacking with their seige towers:
The towers will attack with ranged magic, once they arrive destroy the towers. |
Once you destroy the seige towers, the Saunils will become enraged and rush towards you. |
Once you've defeated the rushing Saunil monsters, you'll free the Calpheon Flag and can obtain a Extra AP Against Monster +10 buff from it.
The money per hour is pretty nice too, for a spot that only requires 250 AP / 330 DP it's not a bad option if you're looking for somewhere new to grind.
Rhutum Outstation
Rhutum Outstation is similar to Saunil Camp with a pretty simple mechanic with a Calpheon Flag that will provide a buff, this time it's a damage reduction buff.
Defeat [Glorious] Rhutum near the Calpheon Flag and more Rhutum will spawn |
You'll be swarmed by more Rhutum mobs that you'll have to clear out |
You can burn stockpiles after defeating the Rhutums for extra drops |
Defeating 3 Rhutum Wizards by the flag will give you a damage reduction buff |
With the gear score requirements, this spot does have to compete with spots like Orc Camp from Serendia Elvia, but if you're looking for a nice spot with different mechanics or Calpheon Elvia loot, it's worth a try.
Primal Giant Post
The Primal Giant Post works similar to other mechanics, killing mobs will spawn more mobs which will then spawn a boss that provides a buff.
Defeating Giants causes "World Weary Souls" to spawn.
|
Clear more Giants as they spawn around the World Weary Souls to summon stronger Giants.
|
Defeat the stronger Giants and a boss Giant Fighter will spawn.
|
Once you defeat the Giant Fighter, you'll be given a buff that gives Attack Speed / Casting Speed +15% while active. The gear score requirements are a bit higher, but it's competitive money per hour.
Hexe Sanctuary
Hexe Sanctuary features a mechanic that focuses around harvesting souls, a boss mob will harvest these souls before attacking the player, after defeating the soul harvester, the Hexe witch will spawn.
Kill the mobs near [Soul Harvester] Skeleton Witmirth to harvest their souls
|
After enough souls have been given, Skeleton Witmirth will attack the player
|
After Skeleton Witmirth has been defeated the Hexe Witch will spawn with more undead.
|
Be careful because red-blinking undead will explode damaging the player and other undead.
|
The gear requirements for Hexe Sanctuary is much higher end compared to the previous spots, here's the drops:
Troll Habitat
The mechanics of Troll Habitat are centered around Ancient Trolls, a large boss type monster that will spawn other mobs as you damage it.
Defeat 3 Trolls near an Ancient Troll to awaken it, allowing you to damage it. |
Defeat the Ancient Troll and it will revive petrified trolls in the area and then respawn. |
Sealed Troll Shamans won't attack you, it will petrify those around it when it falls |
Use the Troll Shaman's petrification effect to easily take down a large number of Trolls at once |
Troll Habitat is one of the highest money making spots in the game, it also doesn't have a dehkia requirement making it a really competitive spot for end game grinding.
