Olvia Academy

Introduction

The Olvia Academy is an all new introduction system in Black Desert that offers some amazing rewards!

• You can obtain 2 PEN Blackstar Weapons plus more rewards of up to 15000 Crons in total 
• The Combat course allows you to level a character from level 60 all the way to level 61 if you finish it
• Olvia Academy gives you a Academia Outfit set, there's also weekly tasks to complete
• You'll need to have graduated from the Season server on a character of at least Level 60 to enrole!

Enroling in Olvia Academy

Olvia Academy works in enrolement terms, likely similar to how Seasons used to work, here is the Class 2 term dates! 

You'll need to have graduated from the Season servers before enroling at Olvia Academy, you'll also need to be on a character that's at least Level 60. When you meet these conditions and login, you'll get an enrolement icon. 

Clicking on the Enrolement icon will display a letter from Justin Bartali which will let you auto path to the Olvia Academy location so you can begin your classes. There's also an Abyssal Well you can use to get to the Academy. 

Once there, you'll speak with Emma Bartali, make sure "All Quests" is turned on in your quest window (O), you can then start your enrolement. 

You'll be given an Academia Outfit for your enrolement, and the Olvia Academy Class title suitable for when you enrole, once per family. 

Upon enrollment, you'll automatically join the "Lunar Halo Inn" chat group which is made up of helpful adventurers, You can change your chat group via ESC - Community - Chat Group. 

Starting Your Classes

Olvia Academy classes are seperated into Combat and Life skill courses, If you start the course at Lv. 60 with 0.00% EXP, you'll obtain enough Combat EXP to reach Lv. 61 by the time you complete the course.

Learn the basics of combat as you progress through the Academy storyline.	Gain and experience foundational knowledge in life skills such as Gathering, Cooking, and Alchemy.

For Life Skilling, Olvia Academy students can use the shared Cooking and Alchemy Tools already installed at the Academy—no need to set these up in a residence.

Share Cooking Utensils & Kitchen	Shared Alchemy Tools & Lab

The Academy's shared tools have unlimited durability and can be used by multiple adventurers, but crafting will take longer than normal utensils/tools. Life Skill courses are seperated into each distinct skill.

Or you can track your course progress at any time by pressing the " Olvia Academy button" at the top right of the screen. This will open the Olvia Academy UI, you can also auto-navigate to the instructor from this UI as well. 

Courses you haven't started yet to see introductory remarks from your professor and an overview of the course.

Active courses display your overall progress, completed objectives, and current rewards. You can check progress (1) view Once per Family rewards (2) and view the Academy Pass (3)

The Academy Pass is all Life Skill based and provides additional Life Skill rewards, there's one for each of the Life Skills so it's a really great place to start for players looking to get into that side of the game. 

Olvia Academy Rewards

We've already mentioned that you get an Academia Outfit almost immediately, but there's also way more rewards that make the Academy worth completing for new and old players! There's Combat and Life based rewards.

Thats 15000 Crons in total, but there's more in the Academy Pass and more importantly the once per Family rewards, take a look at some of the Combat Family rewards: 



You'll get a PEN blackstar weapon of your choice, then a TET Blackstar of your choice + the means to enhance it to PEN with either hammers or the Darkstar Black Stone which is a guaranteed enhancement to PEN. 

Weekly Quests 

There's a unique monster zone that comes with Olvia Academy, the Bumblin' Buccaneers which you can defeat to earn Academy Coins, which we'll get back to later.  

The Bumblin' Buccaneers Monster Zone is a special area for completing weekly quests. Increased item drop rate effects do not apply here, and Agris Fever is not consumed.

Major Loot All types of Kehelle's/Marsh's/Lesha's Artifact, Traveler's Map, Caphras Stone, Ancient Spirit Dust, Mass of Pure Magic, Sealed Black Magic Crystal, Resplendently-lit Gemstone

Resplendently-lit Gemstones can be obtained from random quests from the bulletin board, and may be sold to NPC vendors for 5,000,000 silver.

There are also weekly quests that any enrolled student can accept from the Academy's bulletin board or through Cliff.

These quests are available from Jan 22 (Thu) after maintenance until Apr 8 (Wed) at 23:59.

Accept up to 3 random quests (Combat, Life Skill, or Visit) each week from the main bulletin board at the Academy Main Hall. TIP : All enrolled students get the same set of weekly quests each week. Share tips and strategies with your fellow adventurers!   Rewards: Olvia Academy Coin	Accept monster zone weekly quests from NPC Cliff. * Complete the [Combat Course] Artifacts and Lightstones quest to unlock them. TIP : Cliff's weekly quests also award an extra "Abyssal Echo," allowing you summon bosses for additional rewards.   Rewards: Olvia Academy Coin , Abyssal Echo , Combat EXP (+10% at Lv. 60)

For quests accepted from the bulletin board, the "Recurring" quest type must be activated in the Quest (O) window, it's best to just leave it set to "All" so you don't miss out. 

You can accept and complete up to 3 weekly quests from the bulletin board each week. If you have any unresolved weekly quests remaining, you won't be able to accept more than 3 quests when the quests refresh next week.

Abyssal Echo

You can complete Cliff's weekly quests to obtain the Abyssal Echo, which can be used to summon bosses. It's recommended to complete these in a party of 5, as everyone gets loot.

▲ Summoned Monsters: Olun's Golem, Urugon, Ulutuka * Using an Abyssal Echo will summon one of the monsters above at a set probability. Better rewards can be obtained in the following order: Olun's Golem -> Urugon -> Ulutuka.   Major rewards: Gold Bar Box, Advice of Valks (+60 to +100), Caphras Stone Bundle (50-100), Gold Bar 1,000G * You can also acquire loot by destroying Golem's Left Arm during the Olun's Golem subjugation.

Academy Coins

You can get Academy Coins from the initial enrolement quest, Olvia Academy Coins are awarded from courses and weekly quests, and can be found in the Manage Currency UI.

There's also a quest that you can do for an extra 300 coins, you need to attend the graduation ceremony then enter "Olvium Frontia!" after finishing the all courses in the general chat. 

There's some really great rewards for the coins, the 3000 Caphras Stones are really nice for new players or people still looking to make their Sovereign Sub-weapons. The Essence of Dawn is also a really nice pick up as well!

Olvia Academy Extras

There is also a new Olvia Academy Dormitory for newly-enrolled students. A dedicated dormitory for Academy students has been added in Olvia. This residence features spacious ceilings and a cozy fireplace.

It can be used as your home and storage (Requires 2 Contribution Points).

• Upon enrolling, you'll receive a title based on your class (e.g., "Olvia Academy Class 1").
• Quest progress and Family Rewards (Combat/Life Skill) can only be obtained once per Family per class; duplicate rewards and titles are not granted.
  
  • You can enroll for a new class in future cycles to experience Academy quests or the pass again.
• Graduation is only available after completing all courses and during the specified period.
  
  • Before graduating, use weekly quests to earn and exchange Academy Coins for items.
• After each class cycle ends, all progress for Olvia Academy courses and the Academy Passes will be reset.
  
  • Family Rewards - Combat/Life will not reset when the class ends.
