Red Battlefield

Introduction

Red Battlefield is team based, instanced PvP that is always available from level 50 onwards! 

• Red Battlefield has received a bit of a revamp, most notably in the way that finding a match works
• It's also received some upgrades to the rewards that make it much more viable to play for money
• Each Red Battlefield match lasts 15 minutes and extra players can join within the first 3 minutes  
• There has also been harsher punishments put in place for AFK or leavers to encourage fair games

 

Joining Red Battlefield 

Thankfully joining Red Battlefield or RBF as it gets shortened too is really easy, you can find it in your ESC menu through Esc -> War -> Red Battlefield. You can also just search for Red Battlefield. 

You can also enter at basically anytime, as long as your character is over Level 50, you don't need a guild or a team to participate and negative karma doesn't matter which can make this a popular game mode for red players. 

 

Once you select Red Battlefield from your Esc menu, a new UI window will open up that will let you join the matchmaker, this has received a recent overhaul. 

 

 

Previously games just had a join button with a list of available rooms, now the join up system is a lot more like Arena of Solare with an actual matchmaking system. 

 

Before you could join up and then would have to wait for other players to join, now you can queue up and once the necessary amount of players join, then the game will start automatically. 

 

While queued up for a Red Battlefield match you can't use the following items: 

Traveler's Map, Archaeologist's Map, Lafi Bedmountain's Upgraded Telescope, Lafi Bedmountain's Upgraded Compass.

Penalty For Leaving and AFK 

As mentioned the penalties for non-participation and leavers has been increased to make it less acceptable. 

 

If you leave the battlefield or stay afk for too long, you'll get a penalty that stops you from joining matches for a while. These penalties get increasingly more punishing. 

If you leave the battlefield for too long, you'll get a penalty, and each penalty increases your penalty level by two stages. If you don't move after entering the battlefield, you'll get warnings. Keep ignoring them, and you'll get a penalty.

If you have a penalty, you can check how long it lasts by pressing the Red Battlefield entry button.

There's newly added minimum requirements to receive rewards. You must meet at least one of the following to earn Red Battlefield rewards:

 

• Defeat enemy Adventurer 3 times
• 15 deaths
• Deal 200,000 damage
• Take 100,000 damage

 

Playing Red Battlefield 

Up to 40 players can join a game of Red Battlefield (RBF) and the games last for 15 minutes. If you leave the red battlefield area or the game closes, you will be moved to the original location you were in before.

You can join 3 minutes after the game starts. There are three maps in total but currently only Castle Ruins is being ran. There was also Garmoth's Nest and Valencia City. 

 

 

When you kill enemy players you'll obtain points, the number of points you get depends on the number of points the defeated character had when killed. 

 

Situation	Score
When you defeat an enemy	Gain half (1/2) of the points the enemy Adventurer has, at least 1 point
When you are defeated by an enemy	Lose a quarter (1/4) of your points, at least 1 point However, if you only have 1 point, you will not lose it when you are defeated

 

To leave the safe zone when you enter Red Battlefield, head towards the blue light in the spawn zone to teleport down to the fighting area. 

 

For Valencia City, the game mode worked a little differently. It was a point capture based map which had 5 different points around the city to contest. 

 

 

These points are hard to miss, showing as large capturable points that glow a golden colour. The first team to reach 3000 points or the team with the most points after 20 minutes wins. 

 

 

There's also shops available that sell cheap potions for just 1 silver each and weigh practically nothing at 0.01 each

 

Red Battlefield Rewards

There are rewards for taking part in Red Battlefield (RBF), after the end of a Red Battlefield match, you can acquire Combat EXP, Skill EXP, and Battlefield Tokens.

Here's a table on how much EXP you can expect to earn by playing Red Battlefield matches, it can actually be a decent amount.

If you consider that each match is 15 minutes long, the exp rates can be decent per hour, especially for levels like level 61, even if you lose all of that matches in that hour.

The Combat & Skill EXP will be automatically applied once the battle ends. The token rewards are sent to your Manage Currency UI. 

 

New Rewards Revamp

The old tokens are being replaced, being called Weathered Battlefield Tokens, these will be removed and deleted at a later date, so make sure you use them to get the old rewards shown here:

The gold box bars alone have enough to be 1.5 billion silver minimum all the way up to a maximum of 4.5 billion, which you can obtain for the week in just 3 wins.

 

While this is only a weekly exchange it could be a great way to get some decent money through trying PvP or if you're someone who already likes RBF, it should be easy to complete the exchange pretty quickly if you're winning games.
