Introduction
Sovereign Weapons and Edana Defense gear have their own unique glow at certain enhancements
- Now there's a new system that has been added to allow you to customize these different glows
- The first colours currently available are red and purple, similar to Blackstar and Godr weapons
- The materials for these glows come from monster zones that have the #HighestTier added to them
- Stars End has also had a revamp and it's one of the grind spot locations that give the new pigments
What Are Glow Dyes
Sovereign Weapons and Edana gear have a unique glow when they reach certain enhancement levels. Now, you can customize the colour of these glows with new special loot items, so far there's a red or purple dye.
These items are called pigments, here's an example of the colour of the glow being changed:

The dyes themselves work similar to dyeing clothes or weapons in general, they're easy enough to use, here's a screenshot that shows how the dyes work. These are dyed the crimson colour, that looks similar to Blackstar.
Open the Dye (J) menu, select your Sovereign or Edana's Defense Gear, and navigate to the [Effect] tab to dye the effect. 1 Pigment is consumed per piece of equipment.

To reset effect colors, you'll need to go and purchase the following the Purifying Pigment from an Old Moon Manager NPC that you can find in major cities.
There's a seperate item for Sovereign weapons and for Edana defense gear so make sure you select the right item when purchasing your dye reset!

The effect dye is retained when using a Weapon Exchange Coupon or Item Copy so you won't need to dye your weapon again if you choose to switch it over to a different weapon.
Items used to dye Sovereign weapons and Edana's Defense Gear can be listed on the Central Market. For Sovereign weapons, the item's appearance color will also change to match the effect color.

Effects are only visible on PEN (V) or higher. For TET (IV) or lower, only the appearance color will change. For Edana's Defense Gear they dye is only for the glow, the base colour must be dyed separately like normal defense gear.
When using Item Copy after Tagging characters, Effect Dyes will also be copied but any dye changes made while Tagged will not be reflected on the linked character, only the initial item copy will copy the dye effects.
