Introduction

Emma Bartali's Olvia Academy Journal gives materials to help enhance Kharazad accessories!

 

• This journal will give you enough materials to give two guaranteed OCT Kharazad accessories
• You'll also gain spare, special Kharazad Hammers for PEN -> HEX and HEX -> SEP
• If you don't need these materials, you can convert them into Cron Stones
• We'll also cover the quests for Fallen God base pieces and Easy PEN Kharazad accessories.

 

Before the Journal

As part of the new HYPERBOOST changes that aims to help players reach 730 gear score, there has been a new journal added to the Adventure Log Bookshelf. 

 

Before you do this, you'll probably want to pick up a set of PEN Kharazad accessories from the new exchange with NPC Alustin, this is once per family. It exchanges materials for accessories. 

 

 

Speak to Alustin of Velia to craft PEN (V) Kharazad accessories through exchanging materials:

These will basically be used along with the enhancing materials that you'll obtain through completing Emma Bartali's journal to guarantee at least 2 OCT Kharazad accessories. 

 

If you're a veteran player or already have these accessories enhanced, you'll be able to convert the enhancing materials from the jouranl into Cron Stones. 

 

Fallen God Base Gear

Another thing you can complete at the same time as you complete some of the Emma Bartali's Journal is the free Base Fallen God gear, this is good even for veteran players.

 

This is because this gear can also be converted into Cron stones and completing these tasks is very fast. The bosses have been nerfed so that they're incredibly easy.

Completing The Journal 

You can start the Adventure Log by going to Esc - Adventure - Adventure Log Bookshelf. You can find Emma Bartali's journal in the bottom row, under the Olvia Academy journal. 

 

 

The requirements for each quest are fairly simple, here's the list of what you'll need to do for each journal page and what it will reward you with.

Chapter 1

For chapter 1 you'll have to make your way through Igor Bartali's Adventures, all the way up to volume V. This is basically mandatory for progression anyway though.

 

This journal gives you a bunch of AP & DP, so if you haven't done it already, you should! We have a full guide for here:

 

 

Chapters 2 & 3

The second and third chapters are based around the pit of undying, again we have a guide for these that will get you through the bosses and take you through the quest step by step.

 

By this point though, most of the bosses can be simply gear checked up to the DUO promotion which is all that's needed, so this should be fairly quick. 

 

 

Chapter 4

For Chapter 4, you'll need to complete the Kamasylvia main quest line along with the O'dyllita part 1 & 2 questlines. Then you'll need to turn in some accessories for the quests. 

 

But this is worth it anyway and is basically mandatory for progression as it gives sheet AP + DP, so you should really do this anyway. 

 

 

Chapter 5

Another one tied to the main quest, except this time its from Land of the Morning Light part 1, you'll just need to make your way through the main quests. 

 

Eventually you'll be rewarded with these, they also give +1 AP & +1 DP so they're worth completing. If you've never been to the LoML you can fast travel using this method: 

Chapter 6

[Elvia] Kzarka: Barrier of Infestation V is from a series of quests that involves defeating multiple versions of Kzarka bosses summoned through scrolls. 

 

Chapters 7 to 12 

These are all based on the Black Shrine Land of the Morning Light bosses, some will need to be completed in a party the (Hwanghae) tasks, while some are solo. 

 

The bosses involved in these quests have been massively nerfed to make them easier for new and returning players. You can also do the previously mentioned Fallen God quests at the same time for some of them. 

 

 

You can get the Fallen God gear as rewards from quests. Speak to the Black Spirit to find the quests for them. You'll need to complete solo & party bosses for the journal. 

 

Chapter 13

All you need to do for this final chapter is complete the rest of the previous chapters and then speak to the Black Spirit, then you'll be awarded with the last enhancing materials. 

 

This will give you at least 2 OCT Kharazad accessories and some protection hammers that you can try to hit some of the other PENs to around SEP, depending on RNG.

You can use this table of stats to see which accessories you'll want depending on which gear you already have. If you're new then you'll want at least the necklace.
