Eyes of Adventure Journal Log 1-4

Introduction

The Eyes of Adventure is a new journal log unique to the Land of the Morning Light

• The journal gives a total of 20 manor furniture decorations from Volumes 1-4 
• The task you have to perform are basic life skill tasks that are pretty fast to complete
• Volumes 1-4 is all new Manor furniture that was added with Land of Morning Light
• Some of the chapters are in game time gated so they can take a little longer to complete 

 

Some of the Chapters will include life skills like Fishing, so remember to bring life tools along with you

 

Requirements 

The only requirements for starting the Eyes of Adventure journal is to be Level 11+ with access to the Land of the Morning Light. 

 

That's easily done through unlocking the Abyssal vein for Magnus fast travel or by sailing to the island.

Starting the Journal 

Like with other Journal Logs you can find them in the Adventure Log Bookshelf. 

 

You can access the Adventure Log Bookshelf by hitting Esc - Adventure - Adventure Log Bookshelf or by searching for it in the Esc menu. 

 

 

Once there you want to look for the Eyes of Adventure Log book in the bottom right corner of the book case. 

 

 

As you can see both Book 1 and Book 5 are available, start at Book 5 if you only want the stats

 

Book 1 Chapter 1 

The first chapter starts out nice and easy, all we have to do is run over to NPC Slowkkebi and talk to him. Here's his location: 

 

NPC Slowkkebi is down near the waterfall, by clicking the knowledge [?] on the map you will auto path to him. 

 

Once there, just use the "Chat" option to speak to him and you'll complete the chapter.

 

For completing the chapter you'll be rewarded with a Corner Decorated Vanity.   

 

Book 1 Chapter 2 

Next up is some fishing, you'll be required to catch 5 Pollacks.

 

This can be done anywhere around the coast of the island as Pollacks are a salt water fish. If you're unsure, you can head to any docks really. 

 

I would suggest Nampo's Moodle Village docks as its close to the location Shimnidae Forest which will be used in the next chapter.

 

 

Once you've fished up 5 Pollacks you'll be rewarded with the furniture piece [Manor] Janggu for completing the chapter. 

 

Book 1 Chapter 3 

As previously mentioned, this chapter will have you visit Shimnidae Forest to speak to the Node Manager Shin Taesun.

 

 

Once you find her, just use the "Chat" option to speak to her and you'll complete the chapter. 

 

 

Book 1 Chapter 4

If you've completed the full mainline quest of Land of the Morning Light, you'll have completed this already. 

 

All you have to do is watch a performance cutscene during the Duoksini questline. 

 

 

You can check your progress of your current Tales in your collection of tales. Once you've watched the cutscene the chapter will complete. 

 

For this chapter, you'll be rewarded with a [Manor] Seesaw after completing the page.

 

Book 1 Chapter 5

Chapter 5 will have you interacting with an object called "The Laundry That Drifted Away". 

This can be found down at the river close to Nopsae's Byeot County.

 

 

Just head across the river and you'll be able to interact with the object when standing on the cliff. 

 

 

Once you interact with the object the chapter will complete, you'll be rewarded with a [Manor] Stepping Stone.

 

You can do Book 2 Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 while still in Nopsae's Byeot County for efficiency. 

Book 2 Chapter 1 

The first chapter in Book 2 will have you climbing to the top of a mountain. The mountain is just to the east of the Sangoon map icon. 

 

You can only interact with the Beombawi Valley Landscape at 7AM 

 

 

Once you reach the peak of the mountain you'll see a small shrine area like below: 

Run past the shrine up on to the cliffside, the interactable object will be the cliffside like below: 

 

 

Once you've interacted with the object you will complete the chapter and be rewarded with [Manor] Sundial.  

 

Book 2 Chapter 2 

Next up its back to Shimnidae Forest, this time to cut some bamboo, so you will need a Gathering Axe. 

 

 

Once you arrive at the Shimnidae Forest, look for the small Bamboo Sprouts, as they're the only ones that may be cut.

 

 

Book 2 Chapter 3

If you've just completed Book 1 Chapter 5, doing this chapter now will save you some time as it takes place close to Nopsae's Byeot County.

 

Head to Miss Myo's house just to the east of Nopsae's Byeot County. 

 

 

Once there, you'll find an interactable object " Jangdok Platform" over at the 5 pots, close to the wall to the west of the house. 

 

 

After interacting with the object you'll complete the chapter for the [Manor] Square Open Bedside Table reward.

 

Book 2 Chapter 4 

Head over to Nopsae's Byeot County and move to the rice fields, this chapter will have you pick 100 Rice  to complete it. 

 

Don't throw the Rice away when finished as you may need it for cooking later. 

Here's where you can find a good few Rice fields which you can pick from: 

 

You can gather with or without a gathering hoe and the rice that you can pick will look like this:

 

After picking all of the Rice the page will complete and you'll be awarded with a [Manor] A-frame Carrier. 

 

Book 2 Chapter 5 

For the last chapter of Book 2, you'll need to head over to Hanji Shrine, located just north of Hanji County. 

If you're not sure where Hanji County is, you can look for the Bamboo Legion map icon to find it quickly.

 

 

After heading to the shrine, you'll just have to interact with the object "Anecdotes with Mother" like below: 

 

 

Now you're done with Book 2 and you'll be rewarded with a Morning Muntin Lamp (Ceiling) for finishing the chapter.

 

Book 3 Chapter 1 

For the start of Book 3, it's another time gated chapter. This one takes place at Nopsae's Byeot County.

 

Luckily you can still do the other chapters of Book 3 while you wait. 

 

 

You can only interact with the object needed for this chapter at 3PM in game time. 

 

You'll be looking for an interactable item called "Prepared Snack". It disappears around 3.20 - 3.30 PM I believe, you have to be pretty quick. 

 

 

After you complete the chapter you'll get a [Manor] Wood Bench as a reward.

 

Book 3 Chapter 2 

Chapter 2 is a gathering entry, this time you will need to collect 300 Reeds.

 

If you're new to gathering you can speed this process up, make sure you using a Perfume of Swiftness along with a life skilling alchemy stone. 

 

You can find the Reeds at Gowun Plateau close to the Golden Pig King Black Shrine. 

 

 

They're the white reed flowers that are scattered around a large area right along the cliffside so theres plenty of them.

 

 

For completing the chapter you'll be awarded with a [Manor] Straw Mat 

 

Book 3 Chapter 3 

Another gathering chapter, but this time its only a single tree that you have to gather.

 

You'll need to gather Maehwa from red Maehwa Trees, you can find some in Nampo's Moodle Village as that's where chapter 4 takes place.

 

 

Here's what the tree looks like and where to find it around the village: 

 

You can also find them when exiting Dalbeol Village if you're closer or if you're on the way to Nampo's Moodle Village.

 

 

When you complete the chapter you'll be awarded with a Maehwa Scroll

 

Book 3 Chapter 4 

Head to Nampo's Moodle Village if you're not there already and look for a dog named Badugi. 

 

 

All you have to do is use the chat option on the dog and you'll complete the chapter. 

 

 

For completing the chapter you'll be awarded with a Wooden Baduk Board

 

Book 3 Chapter 5 

Next up is another fishing chapter, you'll need to fish for a Neon Damselfish you might have caught some when fishing for Pollacks earlier.

This is because they're both salt water fish. You can head to the nearby docks to fish. If you have a 

 

If you have a Terrmian Fishing Rod it can help with getting rare or big fish dramatically but if not just use the best you have.

 

 

Book 4 Chapter 1 

The start of Book 4 also takes place in Nampo Moodle Village. Head up to the Office, indicated by the Oduksini Black Shrine icon.

 

 

This time you'll need to head over to the Donghae Office to listen to a conversation. Lean back against the wall (S+Q) and use the Eavesdrop button. 

 

 

When you complete the chapter you'll be given a [Manor] Stone Rail Pillar. 

 

Book 4 Chapter 5 

As chapter 5 also takes place in Nampo Moodle Village its more efficient to do it next. This is another eavesdropping task. 

 

Head over to Trade Manager Gapsam and lean back against the boxes then listen to the conversation. 

 

 

The reward this time will be a Traditional Backrest when completing the chapter. 

 

Book 4 Chapter 3 

Chapter 3 will be cooking Moodle Gukbap. To save you from back tracking during Chapter 3 you can grab Moodle Gukbap knowledge from NPC Wolim while still in the village. 

 

 

You'll then need to cook Moodle Gukbap in your house or manor. 

 

The ingredients are 2 Rice Flour, 1 Cooked Rice, 1 Mineral Water, 2 Garlic, and 3 Pork.

 

If you can't grab them from the marketplace you can do the following: 

 

• Obtain Rice Flour by grinding Rice through the process of Grinding (Processing L).
• Combine 5 Rice and 2 Spring Water using a Cooking Utensil to produce Cooked Rice.
• Purchase Mineral Water and Spring Water from cooking vendors.
• You can harvest Garlic from a farm and grab Pork by butchering boars or pigs.

 

Once done you'll be given a [Manor] Two Story Fireplace when completing the chapter. 

 

Book 4 Chapter 2 

Next up is a simple one, all you have to do is speak to NPC Yoosung. If you haven't spoken to them before, they're over at Byukgye Island. 

 

 

Here's Yoosung's location on the island if you've never spoken to him: 

 

 

The reward for this chapter is the Ink and Inkstone furniture piece.

 

Book 4 Chapter 4

Chapter 4 is a turn in quest, you'll need to hand over 100 Beef to the Fox Goddess Statue.  

 

The cave entrance can be a little tricky to find so here's an image of its location. 

 

 

Once you're at the cave you'll see the Fox Goddess Statue to turn the meat in at. 

 

 

You'll be rewarded with an Ink Wash Painting Folding Screen for completing the chapter.
