Something that everyone looks forward to with the ball events is the generous giveaway coupons, this event was no different, here's what was given out! 

Some of these rewards like 25k of the Cron Stones will come from a special Login event that will follow the Heidel Ball, but the first coupon will give 50k Crons!

New Class: Agent! 

Deadeye's missing brother, a male gunslinger than focuses on fast paced close ranged gameplay using revolvers and the magic Hexround! He looks to have good AoE as well as fast mobility for repositioning.

 

Unlike Deadeye and some of the more recent classes, Agent is a Succession class, not an Ascension class. His Awakening is set to release in winter later this year.

 

 

You can try Agent early by downloading the Global Labs test server, if you're unsure how, we have a guide on it. It's really not complicated, so go try out Agent if you're hyped. 

 

 

From now on, the devs mentioned they're aiming to have 1 new class a year with their Succession arriving in the Summer with Awakenings following in the winter. 

 

Edania Part 2 Bosses and Grind Spots

There's 5 new monster zones called domains and 5 new bosses, the Hadum boss won't be available until September 16th but their grind spot will be released with Edania part 2. 

 

The grind spots are solo with one new party grind spot, the bosses will have special mechanics tied to your Black Spirits Rage so it becomes a resource to use carefully. 

 

 

Because it's Edania content, it's obviously geared towards end game players, here's a look at the requirements. 

 

 

There'll be an additional grind spot released on the 29th of July called Sulphur Golems. It's a solo spot can drops the Olun's Merchant Ring Piece without a party. 

 

Throne of Edana

A new Throne of Edana will also be added in Edania Part 2 except this time you can only enter the Throne of Edana with Dawn Crystal - All AP equipped.

 

This is to counter DP focused setups that were used often and encourage a more active playstyle.

 

 

New Apeiron & Ekleta Accessories

These new accessories are both being added with Edania Part 2, they have the same stats but they're different in a few ways to offer different styles of progression. 

 

 

• You can exchange a NOV / DEC Kharazad for a Base / TET Ekleta
• Ekleta can't be place on the marketplace, Apeiron can
• Ekleta enhances the same as Kharazad, no downgrades on cronned failures
• Apeiron are obtained from Edania Part 2 zones 
• Apeiron accessories consume Apeiron accessories to enhance like old accessories
• Both accessories will require materials from Edania Part 2 to enhance

 

 

Since the accessories have different enhancement styles, they also have different rates of enhancement. Apeiron have better rates and lower pities but can downgrade and cost more crons.

 

 

Meanwhile, the Ekleta is meant to be as close to Kharazad enhancing as possible, so it mimics how that process works.

 

New Crystals, Consumables & Margahn's Artifact

There's also new crystals coming with Edania Part 2 and a new Perfume of Verdure which is a Perfume of Swiftness + a new item called Olivine Powder.

 

Olivine Powder can also be used for Viridian draught, these are both Life Skills. Here's a look at the new crystals: 

 

 

The new Margahn's Artifact is also for Life Skills and it consolidates the stats of existing Life Artifacts while also offering better stats in general. Requires Edania Part 2 materials.

 

New Gear Dye Pigments

New white, turquoise and yellow effects are being added as dye pigments. These will come from Edania part 2 zones. The yellow is only for defensive gear to match Sovereign weapons.

 

 

Godslayer Craftable Cosmetic Outfit

A new craftable cosmetic armour set will be available to create from materials dropped by Edania Part 2 bosses. 

 

 

Hypeboost Catch Up! 

This is the newest addition in helping players to catch up, by the time you've completed the Season and Olvia Academy you should be geared up with 730 Gear Score. 

 

 

• You'll get an extra PEN (V) Blackstar Weapon for enrolling in Olvia Academy
• The Combat Course will give another 4x Obsidian Hammers for enhancing
• This is enough hammers for making 2nd extra PEN (V) Blackstar Weapon
• You'll get the materials to make them all into Sovereign Weapons + Subweapon
• Exchange Dawn Essence for a full set of PEN (V) Kharazad accessories
• Base Slumbering Origin (Fallen God) gear for beating Calamity 8/9 LomL bosses
• Olvia Academy will give an Garmoth Heart and the challenge heart will be made easier

 

LomL bosses will be rebalanced so that new and returning players can take on the bosses more easily, all of these changes aim to help people progress. 

 

 

To help with enhancing Slumbering Origin armour, the Ancient Anvil (guaranteed enhancement pity system) requirements are being halfed, so it's easier to hit the pity.

 

You can earn exclusive hammers for HEX and SEP Kharazad accessories as well as Guaranteed Kharazad Enhancement Stones through a new adventure log that will be released.

 

The Guaranteed Kharazad Enhancement stones can only be used up to the OCT enhancement level but all of this new gear helps streamline the gearing process into Edania.

 

Instant Character Tag & Family Dispatch

Previously in 2025 it was teased that Instant Character Tagging was in development, now they've completed this mechanic. This allows you to seemlessly switch between characters!

 

 

Not only that, there's a new system being added that will allow you to make use of your alts. These will appear out in the world as you put them to work on different tasks. 

 

This will be expanded out in the future but for now its a simple feature that allows you to get use out of your alts with Life skills:

 

 

For now you can have them gather, process or fish and all of this will be done automatically. It doesn't give as much as if you were doing it on your main though. 

 

As an example you could have one of your characters Fishing in Velia while you're grinding, while another character is processing at a storage and another is gathering.

 

New Ferrica Mount in Development

A new style of mount is being developed for Black Desert, the Ferrica mount will have all the same features as a horse, allowing you to glide, instant accel and drift just like a horse. 

 

 

Functional Outfit Extraction

There are outfits in the cash shop that offer bonuses to Life Skills, these outfits can be restricting because you have to wear them in order to gain the effect. 

 

To help with customization, you can extract the costume effect as a crystal so that you can use the functional costume effects while wearing any outfit you like.

 

 

The extraction tool to do this will be purchased with silver from NPCs, however Diving Suits and Camoflague will be excluded from these changes. 

 

Life Skill Changes

A new system that lets you switch to a Life Skill gear preset is coming on the 2nd of September, you can make presets for each skill and quickly switch gear.

The gear can be used by family dispatch, Life Skill Artifacts can only use Lightstones of Flora, Vell's Heart & Alchemy Life stones will be passive effects with no toggle or recharge as well.

 

 

Workers skills might get overhauls. Cooking will be able to create items that give better Health, Strength and Breath Exp. Imperial Delivery Seals give better exchange items.

 

There'll also be a new treasure called Pet Feed which stops pets from needing to be fed, this is being added to Cooking similarly to how Star of Nostros is obtained.

 

Altar of Blood's abyssal illusion modes will be removed and revamped for Edania Part 2 gear instead and Edania Part 2 will receive a special sniper hunting zone and khalk hunting spot.

 

Level 75 Max Level & Levelling System

To encourage levelling up past level 62, a new system is being added. There'll be AP & DP rewards for levelling from 70 to 75. The new system will arrive in 2 different stages. 

 

It should take around 2 months to hit level 75 with 2 hours of grinding a day. Other content like node wars, arena of solare, black shrine, guild league and others will also give EXP. 

 

 

Even without grinding, you should be able to gain 1 level a month at 70+ just by doing other weekly content. The cap will be level 70 on 12th August then 75 on 7th October. 

 

AFK training will be better, there's special titles for people already level 70 before the update and Breath, Strength and Health will also be getting revamped.

 

Marni's Combat Analyzer & All in One PVP Rankings

The Combat Analyzer is basically a combat tracker that shows damage dealt, damage taken, and CC counts. There's a record feature you'll need to activate to start the process. 

 

The data will be displayed once the recording stops and you can assign a hotkey to stop and start recording. This will be added on 5th August.

 

 

The All in One PvP Ranking shows PvP data from different PvP content like Red Battlefield, Arena of Solare and more, this is to help you see current class trends and data. 

 

 

The information is based on averages and gameplay, it gets updated every day at midnight and shows data from the previous 7 days. 

 

 

New Guild Changes & Guild Fame 

From the 5th of August, you'll be able to earn Guild Fame for different Guild activities, you'll earn a bonus daily guild wage based on your own guild fame, up to 900% based on Guild fame. 

 

 

For gaining Guild Fame as a Guild, you'll earn special bonuses like passives and other benefits, here's a list of what you can expect to earn for different Guild Fame amounts.

You'll also be able to spend your Guild Fame for things like One Sided War Declarations, to force war on another guild.

 

One sided wars only last 6 hours and you can't attack the same guild again for 48 hours once your war ends. If both guilds declare war there's no fame cost and the war lasts for 7 days.

 

 

Guild Fame will be reduced every week and you can go into a negative amount, being negative will lock you out of content like node wars / siege or war of the roses.

 

It also lets you be declared on by any other guild for free, the weekly reduction amount varies on size. Small is -2500, Medium is 5000, Large is 7500 and Extra Large is 10,000.

 

Going negative on fame basically makes you red players but for Guilds. 

 

Graphics Update & Console NA Server Change

DirectX 12, AMD FSR 3.1, NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR 4.1 will be added during August and September, this will be for both consoles and PC and the console NA server will be moved. 

 

 

 

Great Ocean Update 

There'll be ocean updates on 26th August and 23rd of September, there's the new Sea Monster Lyngbakr that travel in swarms, they'll be at the Saltwater Crocodile location.

 

The Saltwater Crocodile location will be moved. Lyngbakr swarms will spread out and attack from different angles, destroy the black shard that appears to gather them up. 

 

 

The Lyngbakr swarms will give Coral Crystals, Blue Whale Oil and Margoria Crystals. They'll also give crafting materials for new Gold grade equipment for ships. 

 

Gold grade ship equipment is for the Carrack and Panokseon and are crafted with +10 blue gear and the new materials. This gear enhances like regular gear, needing Crons. 

 

 

The gear will also have PVP stats for use in content like Blue Battlefield as well. Cheongsa Island will be added to the Land of the Morning Light, to craft the Panokseon gear.

 

The Carrack gear will be crafted over on Iilya Island. For Bartering you'll no longer need to click Disembark to leave port and ocean navigation is being improved.

 

 

Content Schduler and UI Improvements

The content Scheduler will be added on 9th September, it does what the name suggests, it allows you to track different content and lets you check off what content you've completed. 

 

 

Adventure logs will have UI changes that's easier to understand than the current library book shelf design, there's a new Treasure Codex that shows all of your treasure information. 

 

There's also improvements to the map that allows guilds to place strategic routes so that you can draw on the map and updates to Fairies that let you select their appearance. 

 

 

Boss Changes & PvE / PvP Adjustments

Black shrine light orbs are being removed which means Calamity 1 to 7 will now be based on your own gear. Black Shrine Party will be scaled to higher difficulties in the future.

 

Rawr Rawr is being upgraded to a world boss with reduced matchlock dura loss. Dark Bonghwang is an enhanced boss that might appear instead of other LoML bosses. 

 

 

Field bosses will be given better rewards, Black Shadow will no longer spawn as it flies over Markthanan's Domain in Edania instead. Bosses can also give outfits that can be exchanged for Crons. 

 

 

Pit of Undying promotion quests will also be changed to be simplified, with new tiers up to DEC (X). Elvia's Realm will be removed and quests will be adjusted as needed. 

 

Red Battlefield and Guild League queues will show active and queued player count and Arena of Solare will have improved matchmaking accuracy and automated voice chat. 

 

Lifeguard Costume & Woosa Merch

There's a new Lifeguard outfit being added to the Pearl shop for all classes for the summer season. 

 

 

There's also a Woosa cross over figure, it's a Black Desert X Nendoroid if you're into collecting BDO merch as well.
